i burned the dvd-r and inserted it into the drive and it said " 07 INTERNATIONAL NAVI TEST DISC" v3.000200
it did not say 06 international navi test disc or GGV1194
is that ok? Is it the right service disc to use?

yes i have. again: is the avic's hard drive already set to master or is it slave? and how would u change it if it is slave, is it like the regular 3.5" hdd with the jumpers? I would be connecting it to my computer by ide to usb converter so i need to know if its already factory set to master or how to change it if it is not

Alright so if I install the cd tezt plugin for wmp and burn a cd using wmp then rip the cd to my avic z2's hdd the titles of the songs should show up rite?
Windows Media Player requires a plug in. See the wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text
There are no settings in the Avic. When it rips a cd, it first checks the gracenotes database. If the CD is not found in the database (or custom cd), then it will use the cd-text data. If cd-text data is not found, it will use the ripped date/time for track title.

Does windows media player support cd-text?
I thought it was a setting in the navi or something like that?

hey i have a avic-z2 updated to z3 maps and software. whenever i pop in a audio cd it records automatically which i like because of the large hdd i can store lots of cds. the first 2 cds it recorded the titles of the songs correctly and successfully. now wen i rip a cd onto the hdd the title of the song will be the date i ripped it to my hdd, never the actual title of the song. how can i fix this so that the song title will actually show up?
BT auto connect to paired device
in General
Posted
I recently updated my avic z2 to 2012 maps. I had a blackberry 9900 before and it connected to the BT automatically when i got into the car. I have a samsung galaxy s3 now and paired my phone with the BT on the newly updated 2012 maps software and when i get into the car it does not automatically connect to the car. I have to manually connect it on my phone even thogh it is already paired. Is there a setting on the z2 to auto pair phones that are connected? because there are no settings like that on the phone
