I think it should work. How do those apps work now doing that? Does Pandora play well on the iPod when connecting through the android phone?

It won't do a full screen on camera if you have it connected to the reverse camera input. You'd have to connect it to one of the video inputs for it to work that way.

Yes it will. My camera is attached to the brown rear view camera connection and I get full screen video out of it when in reverse.

are you not using the speaker wires coming out of the back of the radio.

No, I'm using the RCA from the white harness into the RCA of my aftermarket harness.

It might be IOS5. I can play any video with my iPhone 4 with IOS4.?? I hear IOS5 has some issues.

Thanks. I moved one of the gray speaker wires to that location. The dimmer works.

Yeah, I'm thinking about taking it all out and redoing all of the connectors. I have to take out the ground loop isolators anyway so i can get my $$$ back on them. I think I might get my aunt to solder all of the connection. She does soldering for a living in a company that makes parts for deep hole oil drilling.

I have an X930BT I just installed into a c6 Corvette and I am getting some engine hum. I'm using the RCA connections. I bought 2 ground loop isolators and installed them but it didn't do a thing. The hum is still there. Each one has a pair of RCA and 2 brown wires. I hooked the brown wires to the ground coming from my C25-GM24. Is this correct? Please help. This is driving me nuts and I'm tired of taking it out.

It plugs into the long black cable that comes with the HU. It has the usb and audio jack that the CD-iU51V plugs directly into.

I just got a X930BT off of craigslist. I was in the process of wiring it all up and discovered that i was supposed to have a orange/white wire on the black harness that is for the dimmer. Well it isn't there. No sign of the harness being modified (no scratches etc..) I seem to recall reading of 2 versions but I have been reading a lot lately and could have imagined it. Is there 2 versions of the harness? If so how does the dimmer feature work on the wireless version?

Just a quick update. Knobs are still being produced. Hopefully they will ready in the next week or so. Fingers crossed!!! The problem has been that here in Houston, TX where I am, everyone with a machine shop is EXTREMELY busy right now due to the oil boom and $3.50 gal. gas (I know, Im pissed too). The shop that does the annodizing is backed up with oilfield related parts but they are trying to squeeze the knobs in. Anyways patience will pay off here. These knobs are awesome!!! The one in my truck just rocks!

 

Sorry I havent put any pics up yet even though I have the prototype done and in my truck. I don't want people to start ordering before I actually have them in my hands.

I just bought one today used. i hope it doesn't have a password but i do have the sellers phone number and email address. I confirmed it wasn't stolen by going to the place he said he bought it (fairly large car audio chain) and confirmed it by showing them the unit and giving them his name and phone number. It is 3 months old and I got it for $400.

I'm new to this hacking ones car stereo so I have to ask. What is the goal of all of this? What is the hoped for outcome. I gather that it is to run custom software on the HU such as a different NAV software. Will it allow for the complete customization of the HU user interface? And WTF did Pioneer choose windows CE as the base for their UI?

Yeah it's possible, only one camera could be used at a time though.

What do you mean? I'd only want to turn on the camera when parking etc. The backup will only be when I back up.

Hello. I'm new here. I am saving to purchase a new stereo in my car and have settled on the AVIC Z130BT (was going to be Z120BT). I have a question. I am wondering if I can have 2 cameras hooked to it. The reverse camera is nice but I'd like to have a second camera in the nose of my car. I have a low splitter and don't want to break it by hitting a curb etc. while parking. I want one that I can turn on at will. Is this possible or will I need to get something else in addition to the Z130BT?
