  1. yes, it's capable of doing that. the bypass needs to be done.

you can set a destination then have a DVD play. when you need to make a turn, the navi will overlay with a voice prompt and/or guidance screen. the video will NOT pause but after the turn or exit is made, you'll be back at the DVD screen.

  2. What im going threw is i got my cable and i ordered it from amazon.com and got it from amazon not a 3rd party on amazon and they are a authorized pioneer dealer but the cable did not come with anything that said Pioneer on it or any paper work from pioneer so makes me wonder if someone just returned a cable that was a knock off in place of the real one after purchasing it and thinking since there is no way to really tell the difference between the 2 or not

so i won't know till i get the system up and running

but for those who have purchased the cables form authorized pioneer dealers and got the real cable did they have a orange sticker on it ? like this one i got from amazon but i have no idea weather it is real or not

    that looks legit.

Can someone confirm that you are able to skip tracks and adjust volume through Bluetooth on Pandora? I don't see that option on my screen. I am just able to press play or pause. Please see picture #1 below. Another weird thing is that it says 'Andy's iPhone Connecting' and the word CONNECT on the bottom when it's already connected. I have an iPhone 4S iOS5. It plays Pandora music fine, but I don't have any options to skip or adjust volume like barney stinson said above. When I do click connect, I see a pop up that says, 'Please start the connection on the audio device'

    Can anyone confirm please?

you know those physical left and right buttons? yeah, you can use them for skipping. :)

or you can use your steering wheel buttons like i do.

  4. better safe than sorry, bud! i got the real deal cable for my 930BT but i did buy a knock off cable from amazon.com for my previous 3300BT and it worked perfectly. the thing is that amazon.com had a bunch of good reviews for it so i didn't hesitate too much. i don't know that i can say the same for ebay.

  5. if you go to crutchfield.com and indicate what vehicle you have and add the 920BT to your cart, it should let you know if there are any extra adapters you need and if there will be any issues that interfere with your system. i've always found that helpful. good luck!

So it's safe to say that it supports BT a2dp? So any music on my iphone whether its via ipod or a radio app will play wirelessly on my x930?

yes. most times i just leave my phone in my pocket now. i just choose my playlist before i get in the car and just press play when the BT connects. the few times i actually plug in my phone is when it needs charging or when my passenger wants to get netflix or some other video app going. you can even play netflix on the phone and just have the audio stream go to the HU.

  7. Can the AVIC-X930BT control Pandora radio via bluetooth a2dp wirelessly?

you can stream pandora through BT and you'll be able to skip tracks and adjust volume but the HU will not display album art nor will you be able to choose playlists or thumbs up/down from the HU. (i think some folks have reported that iOS5 will enable these features)

  8. you can stream pandora through BT and you'll be able to skip tracks and adjust volume but the HU will not display album art nor will you be able to choose playlists or thumbs up/down from the HU. (i think some folks have reported that iOS5 will enable these features)

the 51v iphone cable will let you do video out from the iphone to the HU. it won't mirror unless you're jailbroken and have some tweaks installed. the video will play on the HU and your phone will act as a remote with skip, pause/play and slider functions.

  9. hi med. i'm not trying to put you down or your choice of radio. i should have just typed that "it doesn't work for me". i really do think it's a great concept. i've been waiting for it since CES in the beginning of the year. having said that, the reviews do speak for most folks that have complaints about it. it'll work for some folks and i think that's great. hopefully, that means that improvements will be made. i really, really think that if pioneer can address some of the issues that users have, it'll be even more popular.

  10. I think the poster probably meant an app that allows you to control Pandora on the droid from the 920bt, instead of just streaming.

you'll still have skip controls on android's BT streaming, right? personally that's the most important thing to me. i don't often hit the thumbs up/down or choose playlists while i'm driving.

  11. update or the traffic tuner?

here's my short review on the tuner that i wrote on amazon.com:

it's not a cheap product by any means but it does the job. i wish the antenna cables were a bit longer since you may have to place the module in some other space other than right behind your x9xx radio. it may take a couple minutes for the unit to actually pick up the traffic reports. i'm not sure if that's the way TMC works, though. TMC may just be broadcasting the reports every few minutes instead of all the time. i've used it for a few days and so far it had me avoid congestion once in my SF bay area commute. the first time it suggested an alternate route, i drove the initial route anyway...there wasn't much traffic but it was under the speed limit which i guess is why it was reported. 5-10 MPH under the limit is still a good commute in this area. either way, this has given me a fix since i really, really love the traffic reroute feature on my iphone navigon.app. if you live in an area prone to congestion, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this.
