  1. Here's your answer.

You CANNOT use the D3 to choose videos. You have to use the iPod.

You CAN however, use the forward/backward buttons (or remote) to cycle through videos in the playlist. This is only after you have chosen a video from a playlist on the iPod though.

  2. We really should create a sticky that has all the general questions answered....

What do you gain by bypassing the yellow and light/green wire?

This bypasses the system check for the parking brake. The system requires you to engage the parking brake to watch movies. By bypassing this check, you can watch movies without the parking brake being on and while moving.

Can you watch movies and access navigation by doing the bypass?

You can watch movies and access navigation anyway. The bypass allows you to do that WHILE moving.

Also, what is the best way to hook up an MP3 player?

iPod with the iPod cable. Or, you can use the aux input cables on the front of the D3

Can you use the AV jack in front or is it better to hook up an rca cable to the back?

As stated before, use the aux jack in front for easy hook up. For a cleaner look, you could use the a/v harness in the back.

  3. You have to set the D3 to video in order for it to play video from the ipod. Anything else will just get audio.

You can however, setup video playlists. I have a movies, music videos, and tv shows playlist. When I hit video, I choose a playlist and it plays. I can then use the remote to skip videos within the same playlist.

  4. Are these valid all the time? Or do they only work once? If so, how do you know they are valid or not?

Yes. The referral code is assigned to you and never changes. It's always valid. :)

It usually takes a few days for the code to go through the system, but you can call them and give them the code and it will work.

  5. Ok.. The 07 Altima does have a dash kit yet so I to get the factory front trim and the trim is 9" so i was going to get the z1 because that would fit better, but if you know how to fill up the spaces I can get the D3

The Z1 and D3 are both double din and take up the same space. The only difference (size wise) is the screen.

  6. You'll need to:

    DISCONNECT THE BATTERY

    1. Move the mute wire pin on the A/V Harness (with the RCA jacks)

    2. Pull out the radio

    3. Plug the harness in

    4. Ground the mute cable (tap into the ground they setup)

    5. Cut and ground the parking brake cable (light green).

    6. Put it all back together (including battery)

Then you will be bypassed. You may need to reset the D3.
