  1. I figured out how to solve the Problem when they say to "Please insert appropriate disk" when you know the disk should work. I just copied the software onto my computer by putting the CD map disk into your computer and then you use DVD Decripter to decript it onto your computer. Then you get Active ISO conver http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm to burn the DVD onto another DVD R and then you can put that in your truck.

Let me know if this helps!

    BUMP

****ONLY POSSIBLE IF USING DVD+R DL (double layer) compatible burner!****

This is done by using DVD Decrypter (once selecting the file, go to mode- ISO- Read, then go to the settings and set the ISO MAX file or something like that and say none so it just makes one File). Then you get the software Active ISO (its free) and find the ISO you decrypted from the DVD Decrypting tool and then say burn (done only by burning on a DVD+R DL)

There you go! now you have a brand new MAP DISK!

Let me know if this helps you

  3. I had trouble resetting my Avic N2 back to the original 50MT discs after I had installed the 60M discs. After you have installed 60M it does not let you reinstall 50MT unless you erased the memory that holds 60M.

I understand that this method also works for the avic N1.

Any Damage caused to your avic N2 N1 is not any of my responsibility.

i have done this without a problem but if you are not comftrable doing this by yourself then take it to a technician and take them this instructions so that they can do it for you.

Does this just reinstall the Avic Software?

  4. F.Y.I- UNIT IS UPGRADED TO N3

First off....Of course I install it and I have t keep the screen to close up manually because if I dont, when I shut my truck off, the screen hits the shifter and wont shut....kinda sux...

    but anyway,

I installed the N1 and I just grounded the parking brake, thinking that it would be okay since I was going to bypass it anyway later this weekend. Well, a couple things are wrong.

    1. I cant use navigation (obviously cause of the parking brake wire)

    2. My Ipod interface (CD-1B100II), when I connect my ipod to it, it just says ipod at the top and counts up...So it goes Ipod0001, ipod 0002 and goes up all the way to 200 and still keeps going. Could this be because of the Parking brake wire too???

    3. How do I change the time and things like that?

I hope someone can help me out...I spent a lot of tome making this wiring professional grade and I just get problems...

    Thanks

  5. Because the one thing everyone is forgetting, is that not only is video transmitted down the "rgb" cable, but data as well is sent. There in lies the problem. But hey, if you want to try it be my guest.

Then how in the hell does a RGB converter work when it transmits it straight to the A/V cables on that box?

  6. That doesn't work with the avics. It even says so on pioneer's website and in the manual....

I know it says that...but tell me this...How can it not work if you have the video input coming into the avic from it? As long as someone had that converter box, there is no reason for it not to work

  7. I have an N1 with N3 software

The vehicle dynamics box uses a yellow RGB cable to get video signal to the deck, not a regular video cable. Thats why it can't be used with Pioneer nav systems, they have no RGB input. If you look at the diagram you linked, the standard video cable is going to a recorder (vcr, etc.) not the display

Isnt there a converter from RGB to RCA? (if not they should) I just think having that would be soo tight with the Avic
