I've been trying to find a solution to my issue for quite awhile now, but my search has been fruitless to this point. I've had my X930BT setup since last year and everything has been great except for the fact the iPod randomly disconnects. Sometimes it happens shortly after starting the car, other times it will be solid for days and then just drop out. The IUV51 iPod interface cable I have is a genuine Pioneer cable and is not a crap eBay cable. The iPod is in my center console with a bit of padding underneath it so it's not moving a lot when I'm driving. All in all the cable has worked fine, but the disconnects can be maddening particularly because I can't figure out why they're happening. Any troubleshooting/fix suggestions would be appreciated!
Check the connection at the back of the stereo to make sure it's in nice and tight. Next step is to make sure your Ipod is up to date as well. Other than that, just make sure the cable is firmly inserted into the Ipod as well. I keep mine in the glove box and occasionally it would get snagged and come loose just enough to shut it off.

Guys,
I am getting a new App radio 2 with the android kit installed next week and I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note II Rooted.
I have seen some people say the MHL cable supplied with the android connectivity kit is not suitable, so can someone advise me what cable I need to advise the installer in advance.
Thanks
Robbie
You might have to look for the OEM MHL cable. I don't know what the kit includes, but for MHL you'll also need a car charger as the MHL cable needs power to work.

Just did it on my X930BT without a single hiccup
Downloaded the update via torrent and unzipped it's contents into a folder. Downloaded the updated VERINFO.DAT file and put it in the \Update directory of the unzipped files, replacing the previous file in the folder. Then placed the 3 files on the SD car; FIRMWARE folder, Update folder, and CARDINFO.cif
Powered the unit up, popped in the SD card, and within about 5 seconds it picked it up and asked to start the update.
Thanks for all the info and help everyone has given; this forum rocks!
Thanks for this bruh. Update went pretty smoothly. This is what a community is all about.

Has anyone ever came across this issue? I usually have video podcasts playing during my commute, but for some reason this one specific video caused my X930BT to reboot every single time I tried to play it. The others from the same source all played fine.

damn, you must have a lot of unsecured wifi's in your area!!! lol
I have my iPod Touch connected and tethered wirelessly through my phone. Works like a charm.

I'm sure you can get a mic to use since the connection is pretty standard. Not sure where you would source one though. I put the sponge from a headset boom mic on mine and that seems to filter out some of my background noise.

I can say that it works flawlessly. Add that with a hacked version of Pandora with unlimited skips and no ads and my commute is golden . I don't use AHA Radio, but I've tested it and that works fine as well.

I can't see the pics at work, but this is the harness I used for my 2006 Passat http://enfigcarstereo.com/CONNECTS2_CTSVW002.html.
It eliminated the need for separate steering wheel adapter as well. If you search on youtube for Enfigcarstereo you should see how they connected the 930bt to the harness, wire by wire. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Yes it will. My camera is attached to the brown rear view camera connection and I get full screen video out of it when in reverse.
I think the OP is trying to have it show full screen while he/ she is driving, not in reverse. It won't show full screen when you're driving.
-
It won't do a full screen on camera if you have it connected to the reverse camera input. You'd have to connect it to one of the video inputs for it to work that way.

I have the x930 and mine is fine.It does pick up ambient noise but not to the point that it interferes with the conversation. I have mine installed on the steering wheel column.
-
All it does is show the next four upcoming street names and direction arrows. You can only select it after you've set a route though.
-
Nope sorry.
-
Same thing happened to me initially. I ended up deleting and pairing it again and it worked.
-
It will but you have to select each type of POI. It's kind of a pain, but if you have the time to set it up way before you hit the road then that's the best thing.

I chose not to update my iPod to iOS5 and won't until all this is worked out. Man I hate Apple.
-
you'll have to redo the bypass on the power harness for the 930bt. Someone else will have to chime in on the steering wheel.controls.
-
If there's no built in video out then I don't think you can modify it, sorry.
-
I bought one from eBay for my Passat but it replaces one of the licence plate lights. Maybe you can check eBay as well to see if there's a custom version for your car as well? Mine cost only $28 and the picture is really good, even at night.
-
I'll check when i get back in the car and let you know. Download the manual for it and check it out.

From what I understand if you don't know the password you'll have to ship it to Pioneer to get it unlocked. Don't think it's cheap either, sorry.
-
Kinda hard to understand what you're asking. I know mine goes to the first song title after I've synced it with Itunes. As far as it doing that during playback, it hasn't happened to me.
-
Check to make sure your mic is connected properly. Might have came loose during the install, or might not have been plugged all the way in.
-
Yes you can as long as you do the bypass.
avicx940 and back up cameras

Nope. Your best bet would have been to get a back up camera with the built in lines. Not sure if the Pioneer camera comes with it or not, but tons of cheap ones on Ebay do.
