You need to put the unit into test mode, go to the file manager and do a text dump on this file:
\user\system\security\password
That will give you the password you need. Here's a thread about it.

Should be blue and white. The pioneer harness has it labeled as something else, but that's the one to use.
-
Any clue if a similar update is available for US units?
-
Nope, the nav will still work fine without the speed sensor.
-
That never crossed my mind.
Did some looking around at prices. Is there any difference in hardware that would justify spending ~$70 more for a x940 ?
The only difference is the software on it. You are supposed to pay $120 for that software upgrade, but obviously we have it here for free, so there isn't any justification to spending $70 more for the x940 if you don't mind walking the ethical line.

I have an x930bt unit and the bootup time was fairly slow, but when I upgraded to the x940 software it cut that time almost in half, very quick bootup time.

Ok guys, now I need real help because I bricked my z130bt
I just upgraded my z130 with the maps (CNSD-310FM/UC) and it was easy, so I have fw ver.4.000 and App ver. 4.010.
I did NOT do backup on my original User files.
Today I tried to run Condi's hackmode v.2.21 so I can go to Testmode and do the Warning and Nag mode later, but I soon as I boot the avic from USB I get "There is no applicable program" and that's it. I tried upgrading to the new maps with micro sd card with no luck.
Then I used Condi's hackmode v.2.1 and I get stuck on a boot loop.
I never got to Testmode tho and I did disconnected car battery and that didn't help either.
Can anything be done to unbrick my avic or is it bricked for good?
Thanks
Forget hackmode, you only need super testmode to fix your unit. Put the supertestmode.key file on your sd card and also create an empty file called PRG.FLG, put it on your sd card too. Boot into testmode and copy the blank PRG.FLG file to USER\PRG.FLG
-
Why can't you copy from your sd card to the hard drive? Make sure you are navigating the file system using the navigation menu after you copy the file. If you are using the home button to get back to the root after copying the file, that copy is lost.
For example: navigate to the sd card, copy the file, scroll up to the "..." item, change the file options from copy to select and select the "...". This will take you up a level on the file system. Now navigate to USER\PRG.FLG on your internal drive, change the file options to paste and you're good. This works fine in super test mode.

Ok, this is a similar trap I fell into when trying to copy/paste files in testmode. Make sure you are navigating to the folders using the menus and not the home button.
For example, if you go to the sd card, copy the file and then press home to get you back out, that copy is lost. You need to copy the file, scroll up to the "..." to get you up to the parent directory and select that. Only then will the item actually stay on your clipboard.

no - this is just for parking brake.
The "CAUTION" screen is very annoying.. Still trying to find where in the code it's hidden.
That is honestly the most user UN-friendly UI feature I have ever seen. I can't believe they don't make it go away on its own after a couple seconds. It's often more of a driver hazard to try and accurately press that tiny button while driving. If you can find a way to remove or bypass it, I think you would be doing a great service to this community.
On a side note, thanks for all the great new finds you have posted here. You have almost single handedly breathed new life into the hacking community for these units!

Australians have already started to receive their adapters, so we should find out how well they work soon. A user on Macrumors posted some photos and mentioned that it restored functionality to their parrot head unit (minus video of course). Hopefully someone here gets theirs soon.
-
The official Apple adapter should fix the issue, we just have to wait for it. Their adapter has a DAC in it, so we should be able to do everything other than video with it.

Bluetooth works fine with my 4s and x930BT. It might be an issue specific to the 910.

Do you have the HU in app mode when the ipod input is selected?

Do a "Reset all settings" from your iPhone and it will fix the issues.
