Yes it turns off the auto launch but you then have to launch manually from the iphone
It doesn't ask if you press the apps button on the appradio menu?
-
Happened to me, but in my case i'm pretty sure it was a heat issue. It would show that error whenever it was running for a while or if it was hot. Try starting it inside from a power supply and updating if it loads. Mine works fine now.

Any app that contains support for external displays but is not approved by Pioneer will not work properly. I have to manually add them to a whitelist. If you post the bundle identifier for the app, I can add it.
For Waze CFBundleId is com.waze.iphone

Touch is working! Well except for waze, any ideas why? cause they use their own version of TvOut?
-
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE IN THE US!
Yup. Second that. I put the UK version and pandora is dead. I did get the "safe mode" toggle in the settings though. and brake bypass seems to be working.

Hi Dejan! My name is Andrey and how you see from my name I'm from Russia. )) So, I specifically registered on this forum to ask a question. Who is this guy from Russia who created this firmware? I ask cos I buy this device and I want to change GPS app. I can't find themes like this on ru net and I would be really happy if you can give me a contact of this guy or upload source firmware that you tested (I mean your first post). Thanks in advance for help. Best regards from Russia! ))

Anyone know how to rearrange the icons now? The layout menu is gone from the settings.
On the unit itself. But i couldn't get the icons to move to a different screen.

The next morning my radio turned on and was fine again. I was working fine for a few days and the error showed up again today. I let it sit for a bit and its working again.
Not sure why it happens. Right now the only 2 common things between those two cases were: 1) I was using it with radio for quite some time 2) turned it off 3)turned it on about 7-10 minutes later. - error.

How did you switch it? did you have to send it back? or Did you return it to the store?

I'm pretty sure it only asks for the parking break routine only once as long as the parking wire stays grounded. I have a relay and if i need video or to type i just wait till the brake popup shows up before starting the car and it works fine after that. It is a bit annoying, but at least apps don't completely stop working if i don't do it.
-
Same thing happened to me. i attached an apple dock to keep my phone in my coin tray and the sound didn't work. tried one of those cheap ebay ones - no video. one thing left is this http://www.appradioworld.com/2011/11/extend-your-appradio-cable.html

firmware 2.45 is getting annoying.
Which part of it ?
Mine is on 222 so not too bad. Just got Igo working with maps and everything. next ill clean up the main menu and everything should be good
-
English Version for 222: http://www.mediafire.com/?jzdgz7itwwi41fz
Have not tested it yet. Might have a few untranslated files.
-
Hi,
Is there a way to know you firmware revision without booting on a SD card ?
If you are on 2.45 it says it in the options menu. other than that i don't think there is.
-
So i Finally got my sd card and tried to install Appradio+ just to learn that i have 2.19 firmware. So I should I switch to 222 or 245? it seems like 245 with Appradio extensions is not that bad (considering that i think i have almost all the same nag screens now)
List of nag screens that I've encountered or heard about.
- OK button when turning on - All versions. Appradio+ can skip this.
- Parking break on->off-> on - 2.19,2.22, 2.45 Cant be removed but is skipped if app is open ( but still cant type in maps app)
- Alert on the phone asking to launch appradio app - 2.45. Appradio extensions Skips that (?)
- OK button when turning on - All versions. Appradio+ can skip this.

Does anyone know the difference between the EU and USA firmware updates? They are different file sizes. Maybe they have different restrictions?
I compared those with Winmerge and it says all the files are identical.
-
My relay parking brake bypass is working great.
It doesn't ask you to turn the relay off and on again?

I've had some free time today so I've translated the setup, menu and the connection utility to English. Don't know if I missed anything. Here it is: http://www.mediafire...7v2tbvlhpyndr8u

I installed the upgrade last night and now my parking brake override isn't working;(
What override are you using?
I havent upgraded and dont think I will. Im using a relay and it only works if you let it boot before starting the car.
-
So i guess its not worth to upgrade... Whats so bad about it ?

I tried to clean up the installation part of the instructions:
1. Unpack the archive to the memory card in the root directory. Root directory should have The Appradio folder and these files:
- Cetool66.exe
- Cetool66.mscr
- Mortscript.exe
- Toolhelp.dll
2. Insert the card into the machine and reboot the device (do a hard reset), and the machine should be booting in testmode and the installer should launch.
3. Follow the installation instructions, if the re-pack is installed for the first time, it is recommended to select 1, "Installing the Assembly." (УÑтановка Ñборки)
4. After successful installation, you must do a hard reset (the installation program will remind you about this).
5. After installation, the device should load normally (some of the programs required for the re-pack to function might momentarily appear on the screen). On subsequent startups the OK should be clicked automatically.
6. To get to the extended menu press the the standard settings button (in order to still get to the settings you have to exit the extended menu on the "Main menu" (Глав. меню.) from the top bar). The expanded menu is implemented in the style of the iPhone and AppRadio and allows you to scroll the screen horizontally.
7. The expanded menu is implemented on the base of iPhoneToday application . In the current implementation, customization, adding, deleting programs is possible only by correcting the configuration file: icons.xml, system.xml, located at: AppRadio \ System \ Menu \ For the changes to take effect, the corrected files have to be added to the re-pack and the update has to be ran from Setup from the expanded menu.
8. To set up Internet connections, you must run "connection settings." (ÐаÑÑ‚Ñ€. Ñоедин) from the top bar of the extended menu and an follow instructions. For the selected connection to be established automatically assign it to the status of "active conection".(активное Ñоединение)
9. For automatic initialization and control of the connection there is a "Connector"(Коннектор) program in the top bar. It also starts automatically when you first start the navigation software that needs the Internet connection (it is set up in launching the navigation program script).
10. Navigation and other programs should be in a folder APL in the root of the SD-card, USB-flash drives or in memory (NAND FLASH), the initial startup scripts are set to this folder." - Serhy
I haven't connected my radio yet so I haven't tried installing it. So as of now I wouldn't advise it if you cant read Russian/ not willing to figure it out.
-
sorry, i'm use google translate for repack instructions...
Could I have a link to the original thread? If i Have to register somewhere that's no problem, i just don't know if i should be looking through 4pda.ru or 3ppc.net.
