I installed an AVH-X5500BHS a few weeks ago.  Everything is working fine.  I now installed the AVIC-U250.  Once the nav module boots up, it creates a high pitched engine whine  Anyone experience this before?  I tried a new U250 and a new RGB cable, tried a new ground for the nav module, and tried in line power filters, nothing works.  

I have the same problem, any luck getting rid of the engine noise?

I have iGO8 running on a U220 via testmode. I have two issues I'm trying to resolve.

First is low volume, voice directions are super quite. Also, when voice directions are givin it does not mute/attenuate the radio, a avh-p4300.

Any thoughts?

I tried several things to get primo to run on u310 (similar to u220) but had no luck. only igo8.3 would run.. There is a newer 2.0 version of primo which I have not tested.

I have got ig08.3 runnign in test mode, the only thinng i am lacking is getting the resolution correct for a avh4300.

One thing I'm not clear on is can I copy the igo folder to the my flsh disk location so that it can run without testmode?

I've been able to get igo8 working on my AVIC-U220 add-on for my P3300BT with no problems using testmode.

 

Now regarding Primo, I've had no luck. I've tried two versions with no success:

1. Primo 1.2 loads, I select language, then it quits to desktop.
   
2. Primo 1.1 does not seem to load at all, but the desktop gets really slow as if Primo is stilling running in the background, or some unkilled process is still running.
   

Has anyone gotten Primo running on the U/F220? The specs of the U/F220 don't seem to be a problem.

Care to share your secret? I have been trying to get it run run for a week or so now......

I also used the PAC TR7, just wired a little different.

Used option 12 and delayed power to the u220 for 5seconds, works great. Still no way to bypass speed lock out though.

I'm interested to by the how-to!

F220 Hacked. So U220 should be hacked as well.

you can run IGO8.3 if you want.

Seach for "testmode by charlie", or ask me, I will post this hack here.

But... You mention that you have Australian maps for Pioneer units... can you share this DVD? May be it will be temporal solution for some of us who have US models before we can run IGO.
