hey guys, im trying to update my f700bt and i want to back up my current files before doing it. however, when i copy from "my flash disk" and paste into "storage card", it says access is denied. my SD card i am trying to copy to is formatted as fat32. here are some pictures:

many people have made adjustments in MOD files to help with the voice sounding a little less like a Speak&Spell, also you should try to update your system, my f series does nothing but give warnings, way to much for my taste, turn in 1/4 mile... turn in 500 feet... turn right now... you just made a turn... lol

hmm, yea ill give it an update when i get a chance. for mine pretty much just says in 1/4 mile, 500 ft, next left/right. unlike my d3 that actually says turn here and the "ding".

hey guys, i recently got a f700BT but one thing i dont like about it is the little detail in the voice when following navigation guidance. it would tell me to take the next left/right or whatever maybe 50-100 feet before the turn but it does not actually tell me to turn at the intersection. i used to have a D3 and it would do that. also, when i exit highways, it would tell me to "exit highway" when i am already off the highway.

i dont think i have it updated yet, would updating it help? also i know the female voice is the only voice that speaks names and stuff but it is very robotic-y. there seems to be a way to load voices in there. is there an alternative?

found out theres a problem with my ipod connector. my iphone works great.

still trying to figure out the rear view camera though..

1. for cabling which cable do you think is bad? the ipod cable?

2. Yes, everything is loaded before i tried it. I extended the reverse gear wire from the wire harness and ran it to the rear of the car to the reverse lights

hey guys, i just installed my f700bt today and im experiencing two problems.

1. when i am playing songs on my ipod, as soon as it changes to another song, you hear a static-like noise. but it is fine for the rest of the song. I think my ipod cable is a oem pioneer cable.

2. I have my rear view hooked up and my reverse gear wire spliced to my reverse lights. but it does not automatically change to the rear view when i put the car in reverse. the camera works great when i manually chose to show the rear view camera.

anyone have any solutions to these two problems? thanks!

Thank you, I just bought a new power harness since it was missing the VSS and reverse wires. So I can leave the blue wire in the AV harness alone right? I'll just wrap it up in electrical tape or something.

Hey guys, got my D3 unit in today that was purchased used. But it looks like the harness is missing the VSS and reverse wires? Also the teal wire you see in the picture is the hand brake wire correct? Here is a picture of the harness:

What should I do?

also, i know the yellow/black wire is the mute wire where i have to ground it to bypass. but what/where does the blue wire do/go?
