  1. So after applying the updates in this thread to my 930BT which was previously updated to the 940 firmware, these are the versions currently showing on my 930.  Is there anything newer at this point that can still be installed?  The reason I ask is despite being successful with this update I STILL can not get sound out of the unit when my Iphone 6 is directly connected with it's lightning cable, the only way it works is via BT.  Thanks in advance to anyone that can clear this up for me!

  2. Did the 5.0 update and bluetooth, everything works great on my z120!

My music/Pandora/Aha radio  all work when connected with lightening usb cable and aux. audio cable.

    Full controll through Avic screen.

Hmm did this update on my 930BT, went well except I still get no sound when using my lightning cable directly connected.  Have any other 930BT users had luck with this?

  3. I had a couple questions regarding this unit that I installed a couple weeks ago. Over all I am very pleased with the radio but I was wondering if there are any ways to address a couple annoyances.

On the map screen intersecting/surrounding roads for the most part are not identified on the map as they scroll by. Once in awhile I will see a near by road with a name on it but it seems to be a rare, random occurence. Is there a different view or map options that will make the system identify roads other than the one I am currently traveling on? This is something my 5 year old, $75 Magellan unit does.

I find it weird that the default map screen does not include the current vehicle speed on the display either. I drilled down through all of the option screens and saw no way to do it.

I think my biggest complaint would be not enough flexibility to manipulate they way certain screens are displayed. Having additional customization on the audio screen would be very welcome. The default radio / presets set up is not very visually pleasing at all.

Any insight would be welcome, thanks!

  4. Hi I recently installed a 930BT in my 2005 Chevy SSR 6 speed. I utilized a GMOS-04 harness to do so since my truck has the Bose premium sound system.

I performed the video bypass mod successfully as well.

I however am having an issue with the voice navigation volume, it is ridiculously low even though I have it set to max volume in the radio settings. I swear when I hear the voice it sounds like it is coming from the center of the dash where the GMOS-04 is located and not through the regular speakers.

In addition to the very low volume, the current music source is not lowered/muted when the navigation voice is activated making it more impossible to hear it.

Obviously it isn't supposed to be this way but I am looking for some direction in regards to troubleshooting the problem.

I assume moving the MUTE wire has nothing to do with the audio not stopping while voice is being played?

I also noticed when I have the volume turned up to higher levels the sound appears to start hopping between the left and right speakers. I am guessing this may have to do with the audio output adjustment on the GMOS-04 although even though set to a max volume (40), the system doesn't sound as loud as it should be.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will be ripping the dash apart soon to see if I can get it all figured out.
