I tried getting pictures that I transferred to my SD card to show up on the media viewer and nothing shows up. Is there a specific format or folder I need to put my pictures in, in order to view them?

Edit: I think i have to put them in a folder first. I'll try that and report back!

If by programming you mean installation, just install it like the bypass before. See my post here for how I installed mine..

On your deck you will have something that says DB I think? Press that it will create the database.

So I bought an SD card to use with my AVH-P8400BH. I'm really digging the MIXTRAX features on the computer, so I synchronized it with the SD card and when I plug it into my 8400 it says, "no database" detected or something and "please create database." Besides from that, I am able to play some songs from the SD card, but it seems like it was just one folder/artist that I could listen to. When I plugged the SD card back in the computer and browsed the contents, it looks like it's formatted correctly with all the MIXTRAX files and etc from the synchronization.

Anyone else have this issue or any fixes for this?

nah that manual says SIRIUS, both sat radios are just in the same section... yes I am on Sirius. I just called pioneer and put in a support ticket to have an engineer look into it. If not I will just see if I can get SiriusXM to switch my service over to my GEX-P920XM tuner that I have sitting brand new in my basement that was going to go into my now "ex" girlfriends car.

 

 

UPDATE: I just got a call back from pioneer support, they were able to reproduce the problem in their tests so they are going to forward the issue over to the engineering department in Japan where Pioneer HQ is and hopefully release a software update in the near future.

On another note, does anyone know how to install the bypass wire? I got a new one coming tomorrow and I don't want to wire it wrong and end up pulling it in and out again.

I would believe that, but the SIR-PNR2 is specifically mentioned in the manual for the 8400 as well, talking about it's team and game status options for NFL. lol

lol, yeah I just read that in the manual too. But the manual says its an XM tuner? Are you on Sirius?

I was just curious if anyone has a SIR-PNR2 sirius interface hooked up to their unit.... My Sirius unit is acting weird on the new radio, it detects it and shows all the information but their is no audio. However, if I go to the PNR2 and unplug the 12 volt power connector and plug it back in and go to the sirius on the radio it works perfectly fine. I have to do this everytime I turn the car on and want to listen to sirius. It has to be something with the new radio as the unit worked perfectly with my F90BT that was in their previously.

Not sure about the SIR-PNR2 tuner, but I talked directly with Pioneer and Crutchfield and both said you must use the CD-SB10 and the SC-C1 in order for it to work.

I just looked at it now and it looks like he changed the auction saying it won't work for the AVH-P8400BH now. I was thinking I just wired mine up wrong though. Do you guys connect all wires except the green one to both the factory harness and the radio harness wires? Or do all 3 just go straight to the radio and the factory harness side is just tapped off? This confused me because this was my first install the and the directions weren't clear.Thanks!
