That's happened to me in the past. I usually just unplug the phone and reset the unit and all is fine. Not something I can say I have heard more than once.
Did you reset the phone or the NEX?

I have an 8000 nex and and iphone 5 connected via usb. Everything is working as it did before the iOS8 update, but I seem to have an issue with audio playback from music stored on the phone. When I first get into my vehicle and connect my phone, whatever track I select to play begins playing ok. However, within the first 30-60 seconds the audio quality slowy degrades until it is complete garbage. It almost sound like the Lightning cable is bad. If I disconnect the phone and re-connect it, all is well and the playback resumes without any issue...... Weird.
Only happens on music stored on the phone, Pandora, FM, HD radio, etc are all fine
BTW, I shut all my apps and restarted the phone right after the iOS 8 upgrade..... -
I found I have to hold the "cancel" button down for a second for it to work. After I cancel it though, I still will get the voice directions for a while.

Check out the product user review on the Crutchfield site for the 8000. This guy says the iDatalink worked in his 2013 Jeep........Bogus?

Funny thing is in the product description, Crutchfield says the iDatalink will not work until a firmware update is released this summer.....

Can we get some sort of official list going for what remote works with the ner IR receiver ? If a remote has only partial functionality, can we list it's working/non-working buttons ?

I just got a new Blackberry curve and I cannot pair it with my Z110. The BB finds the Z, when you search for devices, but it will not connect. Anyone have similar issues ??

Call PAC. You are likely having a voltage issue. this sometimes happens in my car as well.
How did you resolve it ?

The most stinging part about all of this?... I paid about $105 to set up the SWI controls in my car ($63 for the OEM buttons, and $42 for the PAC swi-ps). I spent about 5 hours last weekend diagnosing my car's clock spring to no avail. I spent about 2 hours testing it on the bench to make sure it wasn't the pac piece itself.
Was going to spend the majority of my day tomorrow doing more testing on the clock spring.
Then I saw the receiver on e-bay for $40, and just ordered my remote for $45 as well. So, I would have saved $20 and at least 7 hours if I had waited a week. Go figure, right?
I see you mentioned you have a Civic and you had clockspring issues. Can you describe in more detail. i have a Honda Ridgeline, and I have had some issues with my SWI-PS. I can get the SWI to program, but when I raise the volume on my HU about midway, the SWI changes the source of the HU. This has happened on by F90BT and my new Z110. I worked around the problem by not programming the "mode" buttn on the wheel. This way, the SWI cannot change the source. Lately, the SWI has been jumping tracks randomly, regardless of volume level. I have ran a new ground wire, direct from the battery, to try and eliminate the problem, but no help. i was going to try a new SWI unit, thinking my issue was just bad hardware, but after reading your about your problem, I was curious if it was similar. Any thoughts ?

As of 8am, East Coast Time, the site is STILL down............
10:30AM - Still down, and the correct phone # is 1-800-Pioneer, I just called and guess what, their system is down as well.....
Finally got my password at about 8:30pm. Update went smooth, got 1 "Update Failed" message, but when I hit retry, I got "Update Successful". Remember to take the final steps and wait for MSN Direct to update before you play around. Check the last 2 pages of the instruction manual that came with the SD cards. Initial impressions are good, my F90 is MUCH faster when scrolling through screens. Key beeps are there, but subdued and very tolerable. I did not lose any AV setings (EQ, SLA, HPF, etc), but my navi settings were gone. I did not drive with the navi yet, so I'll update tomorrow.

Got my legal 3.0 upgrade today. 1st SD card loaded perfect, but I could not get my unlock code from the website. Called Pioneer tech support and got some flunkie who took my info and said he would forward it to the "Engineering" departmet. He said I sould expect a call back the middle of next week. I flipped out, why should I have to wait longer ? I bought the damn thing the first week of July. This is what you get for trying to do things right and not support piracy.......

Are you using the ipod cable or just USB? Ipod cable with usb and red/yellow/white is required...
Ipod cable that came with the F90. Has RCA red/yellow/white and iPod connector on on side, usb on other. I even tried the OEM Apple iPod cable into the USB port and had the same issues.
I have realized that I am a partial idiot. I pulled the Avic and found I forgot to plug in th RCA jacks from the iPod cable. All is working perfect now......

HELP !!! I just installed my F90 this weekend and the unit has no audio from my iPod touch. I searched these boards and tried switching the AV1 input, but no good. I do get artist, track, album info, as well as album artwork on screen. The track time even works, but no audio. I initially thought it was my iPod touch, but the F90 did the same thing with my wife's ipod video. My iPod has the most current firmware, and I have the hardwire bypass, Sirius, and the PAC SWI-PS. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

I have a Zephyr.
The vss is sent via the Medium speed can bus [16 pin harness] to stock radio along with illumination etc..
Underneath the drivers side there is the smart junction box.
you can get the reverse gear pin there green/white, rear park lamps also for illumination (grey/yellow).
You can buy if you choose from soundgate audio CAN vss interface that you connect to the OBDII conector.
I have the wire printout, send me a PM and I will give you info.
Burn
From what you have found, I can't get vss data from the 16-pin harness you mentioned ?? The Soundgate Can interface is like $200 bucks........I just PM'd you for the wire printout. Thanks for the help.

I didn't connect my VSS and the speed reading from the D3 is exactly the same as my cars Speedometer.
The factory radio has the "speed compensated volume" feature. I'm thinking there should be a wire in the OEM radio harness I could use. Your thoughts ????
