  1. I don't know how the X930BT displays the street names.  Sometimes, you only see the streets parallel to yours which I find really useless because you usually want to see the street you're about to cross.  I never could find a way to change that.

Maybe you see all the street names around you if you zoom in a lot, but then, you don't see far away enough to know what's coming.

  2. You really havent added to my first question, have you had any luck with a 64gb card?

Well at least I wont be out $50+ if I bought the sandisk and it didnt work. You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee - if you received an item that is not as described in the listing.

Actually, I had purchase this card for my phone, not my X930BT.  So, I can't tell if it would have worked or not.

As for the "Money back guarantee", yeah, I got caught in that trap too.  The card was $17 (it wasn't listed $50+) and PayPal said "Well, the seller can't be reached.  You're entitled for a full refund!  Just return the item to the seller's address and provide us with the tracking number to prove you sent it".  Cost to send the fake card with a tracking number: $17!

I ended up buying a Class 10 32gb Kingston micro SDHC for $27 and it rocks.

  3.

The brand is irrelevant.  Go to the seller's page and read the negative comments.  Most of them are for this 64gb card about people complaining that it doesn't work.  It also specifies that the seller does not offer returns.  Add this to 64gb class 10 at $16.50 = fake.

Once you get it, run a SD card benchmark on it and I doubt you'll get the said 10 mb/s.  Also, do a FULL format on it (not a quick format) and watch the error list.

Just giving my opinion from personal experience.  Good luck.

  4. Ordered one on ebay for $16.50 with an sd adaptor and a usb reader from vendor in the USA. I will let you know how it works next week and if any one wants the sellers info let me know.

Yeah, I also once bought a cheap 64gb micro SDHC card from eBay.  It had a terrible transfer rate and gave lots of errors.  I contacted SanDisk who said the serial number was invalid (meaning that it was a fake card) and the seller could not be reached.  If you bought a *aheum* "SanDisk"  card, there's a big chance that you'll get the same thing.

  6. Hello,

I able to open Maintenance file BUT now I do not see "USER" option I have 950BT.

    What should I do?

    Thank you.

Well, "USER" is not an option.  It's a directory in the unit's file system.  If you cannot see the directory, your unit will not work because it requires it.

I don't know if installing an update would reinstall the directory.  I've never tried it or heard of someone who did.

  7. Hello,

I download the file and able to open test mode BUT from Maintenance file I do not know what to push NOTHING works.

I have 950BT, changed the battery and do not remember the password.

    Thanks

You probably don't have the updated TESTMODE.key file that enables the copy/paste functions.  Search for it in the forums of this site.

  8. A lot of users can help you, but we're so tired of fixing damages caused by HackMode v2.21 that we're giving up.  I've suggested many times to administrators to add a huge "WARNING" message next to the v2.21 download link, but they don't.  We, the users, are stuck helping the poor souls who installed v2.21

    So...

AV1.EXE is a backup of AV.exe.  You should be able to restore your original AV.exe with it.

The PRG.FLG file has no content.  It's an empty file that indicates the system which USER folder to use.  If I remember correctly, the system will use the USER\PRG folder if the PRG.FLG file is present, or use the USER\PRG0 folder if it's absent.  You might want to try adding the file and see how the unit reacts.  It could fix your issue.

I don't believe going to 5.00 from 3.00 is a problem.  Pioneer cannot expect everyone to update their unit one version at a time, so I assume it's supported although I haven't tried it myself.

  9. First, get rid of HackMode v2.21.  Destroy it, obliterate it, throw it in fire and burry it very deep.

Second, "install" TestMode v1.4 on a SD card and boot your device with it.  There won't be any keyboard because you'll use the device's knob/buttons to input your requests.  If there are missing options, search the updated TESTMODE.key on this site to activate them.

USER folder and NAND folder are two very different folders.  If you have a USER folder, back it up.

Try installing a map update to (hopefully) restore your device back to normal.

  10. How do I make a backup of my Z140 using Condi's Hackmode or Testmode?  I've been able to get into the file explorer in v2.21 and could not use the directions given on the first post to make a backup.  I also tried using 1.4 and I was able to boot into Testmode but I could not follow the directions because there was no such option to select the USER folder and "copy" it to the SD drive.  I must be doing something wrong because everyone else seems to be able to back up there units.  Any advice is appreciated.

    Pablo

It could because you have the wrong TESTMODE.key file.  If I remember correctly, the first one stopped working after some model/update came up.
