Thanks guys. The update is now out so scrolling in AppRadio should be fixed, and I also added some up/down buttons because scrolling is kinda hard on AppRadio.

 

I'd love to add video support, it's defiantly on the wish list. At the moment Stezza use the iPod media library, so if it is possible to access the videos in there then it should be added as a new feature.

Great work, Ricsantos.  Just an FYI, the update "somewhat" addressed the scrolling issue.  For example, I can scroll through my playlists, but once I click into a playlist, i still can not scroll that list.  So, I have to play one of the songs on that screen.

Anyone not able to scroll in this app???

I use this on Appradio 1, works fine other than the fact that I can't scroll....Period.

SOLUTION:

I finally found out how to remedy this....

On Appradio 1 (SPH-DA01), take the pink (reverse) wire behind your radio, and touch it to a 12 volt source (cigarette lighter/accessory), it will take you back to the main screen on your appradio. Then, just go in settings, and change the normal (grnd) to Normal. Wah Lah! Crisis averted. Hope this helps.

i have pulled the battery, ive pressed reset on front of appradio, nothing works. it always goes back to recerse camera screen.

I also have this problem, since i mistakenly chose the 'Normal (gnd)' option. Only thing is, even resetting the unit does not allow me to access the settings to change it back, each time i reset, it goes through the boot up, asks me to confirm my language, then goes straight onto the rear view screen - no amount of button pushing makes any difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

I just opened BiteSMS on my appradio, and when it switched to landscape, it looked like this.....

Any ideas? Is it just BiteSMS? Mail worked fine in landscape, as did Messages.

New version works like a charm! I tested my push email, all is good. Thanks Mike, great work addressing this issue, and outstanding work overall.

The one thing I've noticed, which may or may not be fixable, is when you switch from an app back to the appradio main menu, it has to reload as if you were just plugging the phone in. Any fix for this?

Disrgard my last post. I know exactly what's causing the push issue. I was focusing on the new Backgrounder code but it turns out this bug has existed for a while now.

I contacted pioneer regarding this very subject, and they said there is no intention on implementing it. In addition, they claim the hardware isn't compatible to do so. I think it's ridiculous, and to not have it as an OPTION is typical of pioneer regarding the appradio units.

 

 

 

if i dont delete the email app from the multitask it will push the email, but as soon as i delete it from the multitask it will not push email. hope that helps. thanks mike.

Same here. I have to keep mail running in background. If I close it, it won't push.

I did it through SSH, rather than ifile which I was trying to do originally.

However, using this edited backgrounder still does not allow for push email....Just an FYI.

Sorry to sound stupid here, but what do I do with this?

When I click on it, it opens random text, that of which is not even all English (Some symbols). I thought it would prompt me to download the file, then replace the backgrounder.plist in Appex with this new one.

 

 

 

The documentation is for the version in Cydia. The beta version in this thread had different/new features that aren't in the docs yet. Not sure why you are getting the red X. I'm trying to stabilize a version for my AppRadio 1 and then once that is working I'll try to figure out whats going on with the newer devices.

Try installing the latest version and modify the Backgrounder.plist file in /var/mobile/Library/AppRadioExtensions. Delete everything in the overrides section. I'm pretty sure it have something to do with this file. I'm only manually enabling backgrounder on the AppRadio app.

I'd love to go back to appex but uninstalled about 3 weeks ago because I wasn't receiving push email, and unfortunately that's a feature I rely on for work. Any chance of getting that bug worked out? Thanks mike.

There is a firmware update available for the Appradio 1 (SPH-DA01) on the pioneer website.

It is version 2.63, however, I see absolutely no changes except a "new setting" in general. Another unfortunately useless update rolled out from Pioneer.

What does this do? I launched Waze with EC open in the background and it worked the same as usual?

For me, it showed up on appradio screen, and allowed full touch functionality on the radio.

Take it easy. I understand you're frustrated but don't take it out on forum users. He did not create the appradio, not contribute to any of the problems associated with it.

while EC touch is working "back" in iphone...( you minimize EC touch )

just launch waze from the iphone, and you'll see how it work
