Hi Mike,
i got a Problem. I want to use TomTom on the Appradio2. I am running App Ex Beta 7. I also get the Mirror of the TomTom onto my Screen. Unfortunatly there seems to be some kind of GPS Problem. TomTom won´t find a valid Signal as long as the Phone is connected to the Radio. When i disconnect the Phone from the cable and restart TomTom it finds Satelites almost instantly, if i then connect it back to the Radio it looses the Satellite signal. Also the Appradio shows me in the "Settings" Menu that it is connected to like 8-10 Satellites. I also tested the GPS Receiver from the Radio with the Build in "Maps" App. It is working quite accurate. Any Ideas how to fix that problem ? Thx in advance !!!

The only problem with that would be your throwing away the touch screen.
Why is that ? Of Course there would be some adaption needed to run the Iphone through the HDMI Port but the Android Phones run through it and dont loose the Touchscreen. At least it might be a patch option for Pioneer to change the connection from the Iphone Port to the HDMI Port. I am not a Programmer so I wouldnt know how much work that means.

Quick copy paste from Mike´s Topic since i´m not so sure if it belongs there.
Just a crazy thought. I realy wounder what will happen if u get the Iphone 5 hooked up to the HDMI Port of the Appradio. That could be very well a sollution to alot of Problems. HDMI is fully digital (correct me if i´m wrong). To take this a litte further, I wonder if we would be able to mirror the hole phone onto the Appradio2 via HDMI. It has been done with XBoxes, etc,.. over at XDA Developers they just managed to mirror Android Phones though the HDMI Port.
Anyone any thoughts on that ??

Looking forward to see some testing of you guys.

I think the Iphone 5 kind of killed it for me. I dont see any big features that would make me continue to stay with Apple. Over at XDA-Developers they seem to have found a solution for full Android Phone Control via the AppRadio2. If that is the Case i will probably switch to Android.

If you guys really managed to get full Phone Control through the AppRadio i will probably change from Apple to Android. iPhone 5 doesnt really kick it for me and gives all of us Appradio/Apple Users a big "What if" especially regarding the new Connector not supporting Analog Audio/Video Output any more.
Keep up the great work guys.

Hi Mike, just installed Beta 7 and amazingly I dont get a black screen on unsupported Apps any more !! Thats awesome. I do have a little problem there. In any unsupported App i can not scroll up or down. Touchscreen does work but not scrolling. Also what i have noticed that if I want to rearrange/move the Icons in the Advanced App Mode it doesnt let me do it any more. Might be connected to the scrolling problem. Any Idea on how to fix that ?
Keep up the great work man !! Ur the best !!!

Are you not using the Phone Cable wich came with the Appradio ?

Video Out is enabled ?

Lets not start an Android vs iPhone debatte Just noticing that Android People just cant stop picking on the Apple Folks My personal experiance that is. Good to hear that it´s working for you.

keep us updated if it works m8t

lol had to google Jelly Bean. Guess I´m an Apple Nerd

I dont think thats gona work. As far as my experiance goes you gona need to hook up the Phone through Bluetooth to the Radio to get the Phone support. Your Ipod wont be able to channel the call through the Hotspot onto the Radio.
-
Not quite sure what you are tryin to do here. You wanna run an Ipod through your android phone ? How do you expect the Appradio to cooperate with the Ipod ?
Some more details would be nice.

The thing with the HDMI Port is more or less a trial and error system. The HDMI Port is meant to hook up ur Android Phone. Everything else can work but doesnt have to. If your connector doesnt work the only thing i can think of is that you could try going through the Video Out (if it has one) of your Ipod. You gona need an adaptor to hdmi for that of course. You might be able to mirror your Ipod to the screen. How you gona control the Ipod is another Question, since the Touchcontroll of the Radio wont work for sure.
@ ATXJOSH: Not a very helpfull comment. Alot of people doing stuff here that is not supported by the Radio. I think we should try to stick to a friendly tone here not smart***ing people.

Hi Guys Pioneer released a new Firmware update a few days ago. Now i´m woundering if i should update my appradio 2. I can´t seem to find a list of what is included in the update. Anyone find something like that or did the update ? If so would be awsome if someone could share his thoughts on the update.
Thx in advance

I had GPS Problems with WAZE while i had Appradio Extensions 2.0 running. I rolled back to to the Cydia Version. Works good now. Anyone else noticed anything like that ?
-
Now thats great news !

Sure will ! Keep up the good work !!

Anyone tryed connecting a Media Station via HDMI ? If Xbox works that might workt too.
Thx Goofy

I might have to consider the older AppRadio
Honestly I wouldnt do that. From what i have read the Appradio 2 Firmware is much more stable and faster. With Mike DeCaro working on Appradio EX 2.0 we are looking at a bright future if he gets all the stuff working as he wants to.

Anyone else having trouble with the GPS reception ? Does WAZE even use the GPS Amplifier from the Appradio ?
