  1. Hi guys. U have currently installed the x940bt in my car.

I now ordered the appradio3 and I was wondering.... Is the harness the same between the two? If I just unplug the harness from my x940bt and attach it to the ar3 will it work or do I need to completely remove the harness and redo the installation? I already have everything connected with the wheel remote (PAC PS) and the stock Rockford fosgate system adapter to after market radio (axxeon)

    Thank you

  2. Hi!!

I have the 9310. It came with our 2012 Subaru Legacy. Did the 2012 map update. Which was easy.

The update upgraded our firmware to 4.000 .Works great. Sounds great. However ...

A couple of weeks ago I got a iphone 4s (IOS6) through work. Our car came with the Pioneer cable.

The cable is plugged into the usb slot and the little stereo plug is plugged in as well.

When I attach the iphone to the pioneer cable, the battery charging screen appears immediately on the iphone.

Bluetooth audio works fine. Making and receiving calls; no problem.

However, for the life of me I can't get the appradio thing to work.

I installed the latest version (of appradio) from the app store. It is version 1.8.2

I also installed CommuteWX, Mixtrax, Carbrowser, Nav free Canada all from the appstore.

However, what comes up on the Pioneer is the line of factory icons along the right side of the Pioneer's screen (for EQ, Normal Mode, AppRadio Launch etc) however there are no icons for the installed apps on the iphone. Pressing the AppRadio Launch icon on the right side of the Pioneer screen doesn't start anything.

Is there a particular order that you have to select to get things to work or is there a particular setting that you have to change for the appradio to work?

Better yet, is there are step by step instructions of what we should do in order for this to work. The manual isn't very helpful.

    Thanks

what is this got to do with this thread topic?

  3. That's awesome! Thank you. I'll turn those knobs to max and ask the wife if I can buy the PAC. Does the PAC lag when using steering controls while on BT? The metra doesn't.

    Sadly yes

the is a very short lag but only when skipping tacks thats it.

I rather a mini delay then no control.

Good luck with the wife LOL:-)

  4. Awesome!!!! Thank you!!!! I'll adjust the two blue knobs.

Shouldn't the Axxess ASWC be the same as PAC audio? I have the axxess aswc and it works. Only problem is when I'm playing music via BT, I can't skip songs using steering controls. It works flawlessly other times i.e. when iPhone is connected via cable and using the BT feature for phone calls.

trust me i have done a VERY intensive research before i worked on my car :)

only the pac audio with version 1.6.8 support the BT functionality...

eaither return the Axxess and get the pac or swallow the expense and get the pac.

either way, if u want BT support , get the pac :)

thats why i LOVE amazon prime and hassle free returns lol....

i changed my entire built in system to the pioneer x940bt with the pac and the mito and new frame and all the cables and everything i need.

used pioneer mail in rebate they had for the x940bt :) sold my built in nav system.

ending spending out of pocket 120$ for the entire system

    lol

    that was awesome :)

either way, back to the topic :) switch those knobs, get the pac and enjoy some awesomeness :)

  5. Hey, i have the same setup as urs....

    only i have 2009 GTS

on your MITO on the side of it you have 2 knobs. one for general volume and one for sub volume.

using a philips screwdriver turn them all the day to the left side maximum volume.

that should fix ur volume issue.

secpmd. for ur BT wheel remote controls u have to buy the pac audio adapter version 1.6 and up to support BT control

let me know if u have more questions.

  6. From what I've found while poking around in different threads:

    - removing the nag screen (as pointed out by you)

    - updating older versions 920/930 to 940 software interface and maps (may not be of interest for you but great for those with older head units)

    - adding a safe-mode setting that allows for selective (software) bypass that can be turned on and off

    - modifications for other continents (US->EU, etc.)

The only thing I miss for this unit and software is album arts for mp3s if you don't have an ipod. Most other units (not from pioneer though) have this feature for USB devices or SD cards ... too bad, for an otherwise nice interface ...

yeah, album art would be awesome !

wish that list was bigger :)

would be cool to do more with our HU's...

i also wish there was a way to add an android device in advance app mode or project the video into the HU

the only way i found out is by using the old galaxy s with RCA to PL video cable via the HU back AV input.

but thats kinda wonky, as u need to get a galaxy then power it up etc. too much hassle to make it work....

  7. Hi guys,

i wanted to know if there is somewhere a list of possible modification by "hacking" our x940bt?

other then removing the caution screen when turning on the unit, is there anything else we can do to the HU?

can someone please direct me to the list of benefits of messing with testmode? thank you.

  8. Hey guys,

    wanted to know.

anyone knows what is the latest firmware for the x940bt

also, where on pioneer site we can get the latest firmware information.

on the official avic pioneer section site there is nothing other then when going into firmware it says it support avic feeds etc...

  9. i got the x940bt controlling my samsung galaxy s3 music perfectly.

i control it via my wheel remote or even the screen it self.

    stream via bt

    have a 16GB SG3 + 32GB micro SD .

quality is superb and space is more then enough....

    control is perfect as well.

  10. Hey,

    i got my x940bt,

installed it on my 2009 lancer GTS including wheel remote control and keep original rockford-fosgate system (total cost 900$, total work: 2 guys, 32 cans of beer, 16 cans of monster energy drink and 5 hours of work) LOLOL :)

    2 questions:

    1. can i de-register a paired phone (without waiting to fill the max 5 phones capability)?

    2. do i have advanced app mode using an android phone? (calendar, google maps etc) like the iphone have ? but via bluetooth? or the only 2 apps supported are aha radio and pandora? (on android via bluetooth)

    please let me know.

    thanks.
