I think the direction Pioneer is going w/regard to iPhone integration is toward AppRadio - instead of internal HU apps. This seems to be part of the rushed cluster-fuck they threw together  to support Lightning and the latest iPhone/Touch iOs. Unless your really need that support, I'd recommend staying away from 5.1.  That's why I backed away from 5.1 and came up with my own no-nag patch for 5.0.

I didn't upgrade to 5.1, I just did the 5.0 map update

I noticed that after the update I lost AHA radio and Pandora.  They aren't on the scroll wheel anymore?

I have a copy from pioneer I'll gladly share if someone can show me how.

Seems like a bargin to me.

I did the supereasy mod and it seemed to work fine.  Only problem is the GPS says im in a differant state than I'm in.  I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes in hopes to reset with no luck.

Any ideas.

Can I use the same firmware and maps for the X series as they do for the F series.

On the splash screen? Thats just a BMP or JPEG file. I use a custom one.

yes, how can I tell what maps I have?

Where do you see the map version? I've never seen it displayed.

I updateed my radio and went through all the steps for my z110. Everything went great and it said update complete but when it boots up it still says 2009 maps at the botttom?

Thanks Ron! I had tried to get into Testmode without luck prior to my post and also tride the condi hack without luck...

 

I was doing the update to Z140BH when the unit lost power. I talked to Pioneer and know it can be fixed there are also a handful of people on Ebay that can fix it and have fixed it for ranging prices. I have not found someone local in NC sadly and really dont want to ship the unit. If Ebay sellers that sell all sorts of crap looking at the history for them can fix this issue I have to believe someone on her would have an idea! Everyone I have talked to has said it is a simple fix and just a software corruption issue but HOW do I get into that is the question?

When you say the unit lost power, do you mean the battery died? I am experiencing the same problem, has anyone gotten it fixed yet?
