  1. Hey guys, I've been searching and can't find all the answers I'm looking for. I know that the 8000 has a capacitive touch screen that the 7000 does not have. Other than that I cannot find may other differences. I am in love the recording ability of xm in the 8000 and the fact that it shows album cover art for xm, does the 7000 do this as well? How about the live backgrounds? Is there a huge speed difference? Any other differences?

    Thanks

  2. I had a relay wired up before that worked, but was interested in testing the european firmware. For everyone's information I got it to work. I got a different flash drive, slow formatted it to FAT not FAT32 and it took the 8.17 update no problem. Radio works fine, bypass works and the Pandora App is still there, I havent tested it because it doesnt work in Canada. The icon is there and when I press it I am told to start the app on my phone.

  3. Why don't you just install this? (works great for me)

You can't read any Flash Drives via USB on the AppRadio.   You can only hookup an iPod/iPhone/Android device

    Read this:

You can burn DVD's full of mp3/aac audio files to play if you have the new AppRadio 3 (SPH-DA210 DVD model)  That's about it.

AppRadio was centered around doing it all through  your Smart Phone.

Thanks but I dont want to spend any more money, also I have an appradio2 not appradio3.

  4. Never mind this was confirmed here for me, I will be trying this soon.

EDIT- for some reason I cannot get any flash drives to recognize, I tried three different ones, formatted to fat and fat32. Ive tried north american firmware 8.30 and EU 8.17, 8.30 and everytime my da100 tells me that it can't read up sofware up file.

Any ideas or help is appreciated

  5. After doing some reading, I have realized that the UK version of the DA100 AppRadio2 is bypassed by grounding the parking break wire. I am wondering if downloading the UK firmware update will allow me to gain this functionality?

    Has anyone tried this?

Also on the US site you can no longer access the 8.17 update, and you can on the UK site, Im not wanting to upgrade to 8.30 until the issues are sorted out.
