Any of you guys use the 'pre-configured, bought on ebay, but not official Pioneer' SD cards to do updates? I noticed a few folks build up the cards, create written instructions and then resell them as complete update cards.
Thoughts?

Ah. Thanks so much for the advice. I really appreciate it!
I'll check the F hacks page.

Hey folks. I've read and searched the forum, but I still have some questions.
I have an AVIC-x910BT. I'd like to do two things:
Update the firmware. This seems straight forward. looking for advice as to what the best version of firmware is to use. Sometimes the newest is not the greatest.
Update the maps for US/Canada/Mexico. I'm not sure if the map update is continent wide or just country wide. I live close to the Canadian border and travel across from time to time. This does not seem straight forward. I keep finding links to places to buy the maps, but, they show up dead or no longer active on the Pioneer website. A current link to somewhere I can buy current maps would be really appreciated. I'm not looking for stolen/torrent maps. I'm happy to pay for new maps. I just can't get a straight answer on the Pioneer website as to what map update I need to buy for my x910BT.
TIA!

I would like a picture of a early 1980's Pioneer SuperTuner 8 track deck. It looks like this one:

I would like it to have Van Halen's "Fair Warning" in the tape deck....
This is the best splash screen ever, BTW. Public would be fine
