  1. I am a CS major and have sent to this to people that are I t he industry but they will not do it for less then $2000. Let's prove the backing is here. I can get done. If not in time I will do it. I will use this for a long time. I just need time for me to do it. But people I know can but will not unless money is involved. No donations but prove the money is there and they will sell the app on cydia for the right price if we are willing to pay.

  2. @tom

Looking at that screen grab it appears the person in AT&T just doesn't understand what the app radio is doing, they don't seem to understand that the screen on your iPhone is just being mirrored, no data is involved.

I agree, I also called them today and the person on the phone form AT@T claimed the something. I hit him with "if I plug my iPhone into my iHome a play Pandora, what is the difference?" He had no answer. I also brought up iOS in the car and tethering, again no answer. I'm not being charged yet but he said if I continue then I will be.  This is all form the use of Pandora for about a period of 45 days. I've been traveling once or twice a week about 45 min each direction and and twice this month to SLO, Ca (about 2.5 hours each direction.) Pandora the whole way on all trips. This caused AT@T to flip out.  I've had my iPhones jailbroken since the 3GS model. I did start using the iPhone since the original. I used to do accounting for apartment complexes and the WIFI at a few of the places were crappy, so I've tethered my phone to my laptop in the past. I was logging into no mobile websites and sending a lot of packets out of the phone then. Also sending large files to the corporate office. I've never had an issue with tethering. Pandora has increased my data usage quit a bit. I always try to use WiFi (it's faster in Fresno, Ca.)  But for the last 45 days or so I've increased my usage of Pandora, only with the AppRadio. If anybody knows of any documentation on how the AppRadio works, it would be real helpful. This month I've only used 900MB but 90% is form Pandora and AppRadio. That is not that much last month I used almost 4Gigs (Steaming movies form my home server.)

I know this is off topic, but I figure if they are bitching at me for not that much use of Pandora and AppRadio then everyone here should be informed what AT@T thinks is tethering. (Also on iOS6 and AppEx, I used to do Youtube video way more then I ever done with Pandora.) AT@T blows!!!!!

  3. Using Pandora is not considered teething to another device and they can claim that all day long but it won't fly. They will never be able to convert your account to a tethering plan because of an app on the phone. They can if you connect the phone to another device and send data to that device as a tether. The App Radio does not apply in this case. The reason you got throttled is because you went over that fantom 3gb. Going over a limit and tethering are two different things.

I know that I was throttle last month due to going over 3Gigs. This month I am only at 900MB but it has all been form Pandora on the AppRadio. Yesterday I received the email about tethering and a text about it today.

    This is all form Pandora

  4. I was throttled last month when I went over 3GB. I looked up on the internet and sending data out of the phone like pandora does is considered tethering. I'm in California.  Throttling sucks it took forever to send picture messages and web browsing was very slow.  Playing Pandora on the AppRadio is just like connecting external speakers to the phone, they claim otherwise.

But how can they tell what is being sent out of the phone?

  5. This is what was sent to me, so I contacted AT@T, I've been using Pandora a lot lately going out of town.

    Dear JOSEPH SEWELL,

Like you, some of our customers use their smartphones as a broadband connection for other devices, like laptops, netbooks or other smartphones - a practice called mobile hotspot creation, or otherwise known as tethering. This can be an efficient way to enjoy the benefits of broadband but it does require that you have a specific data plan.

    1. Select a compatible data plan:

To review our plans that include the use of mobile hotspot, please log into your account at att.com/mywireless or use the MyAT&T app. Or, call us at 866.679.7134, Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - midnight CT, or Saturday - Sunday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. CT.

Here are details on the plans available for mobile hotspot usage:

    spacer.gifDataPro 5GB for Smartphone

spacer.gif • $50 per month         spacer.gifspacer.gif • $10 per each additional GB thereafter, added automatically as needed spacer.gif • Mobile hotspot capability spacer.gif • Unlimited use of Wi-Fi at home or on-the-go with our nationwide network of Wi-Fi Hotspots.
(Just look for the Wi-Fi icon on your enabled device.) spacer.gif
    DataPro Enterprise 5GB for Smartphone
This Enterprise data plan is required to access corporate email, company intranet sites and/or other business applications. (Access to personal email is also supported.)

spacer.gif • $65 per month spacer.gif • $10 per each additional GB thereafter, added automatically as needed spacer.gif • Mobile hotspot capability spacer.gif • Unlimited use of Wi-Fi at home or on-the-go with our nationwide network of Wi-Fi Hotspots.
(Just look for the Wi-Fi icon on your enabled device.)   spacer.gif
    AT&T Mobile Share Plans

spacer.gif • Unlimited talk and text for phones spacer.gif • Shared data for all your devices - smartphones, basic phones, tablets, laptops and mobile hotspots spacer.gif • Plans range from 300 MB to 50 GB and include mobile hotspot capability spacer.gif • Go to att.com/mobileshare to learn more spacer.gif
    2. Keep your current plan in place:

To keep your current plan you'll need to stop using mobile hotspot/tethering by the end of the month. Please remove any tethering apps and make sure anyone who uses your device understands your current plan doesn't include mobile hotspot creation.

If you continue tethering and we don't hear from you, we'll automatically enroll you in the DataPro 5GB Smartphone individual plan in an upcoming billing cycle.

Unlimited Plan Users - If your plan is automatically changed to accommodate mobile hotspot usage, you will not be able to move back to an unlimited plan since these plans are no longer offered.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve you.

    Sincerely,

    AT&T

  6. Working great.  Phone app still freezing and leaving image on appradio screen, the black bars work and bring me back to the springboard on the phone but not the appradio.  Also the buttons on the same row of the keyboard as the spacebar sometimes don't recognize that I touched it.  Changing between numbers and letters is tough cause of this. I noticed sometimes AppRadio Ex notifications stay on the screen for quite a while. Also when I launch the music app sometimes it stays vertical but rotated on the phone, I have to close it and open it again and works perfectly.  Also if i touch and notification on the springboard it doesn't recognize the touch.  (This is normal notification not the appradio ex notifications.  Video to come soon.

Mike is there a way you can put the Siri Icon on the springboard?  Oh yeah Siri is a little buggy for me to.  The bluetooth connection is a little slow. I'll include it in the video.

Soundscape works perfectly for me except I might have a stoke while driving at night.

Thanks Mike everyone thinks I have the tightest out there in my car.  Keep up the good work.

    4s ios 6.1.2 appradio 2 FW 8.17 newest app.

  7. Great work mike the resizing is fixed just tested.  I had to hit the ignore button on the appradio for the app to connect to the deck.  Also when i use a app like mint (not a landscape app) it shows up fine but when I close the app the springboard is vertical landscape like before.  It now does fix the rotation when I first launch thank you mike.  It just keeps getting better and better.

  8. Some apps dont show black bars, like the video app.  if your watching a video on the appradio just tap where the black bars should be and it will work just the same also the done button, pause play button, forward back buttons do work to just dont show up on app radio.  just touch where the button would be and it works.

Also SBrotator 6 works real well with AppEx.  It rotates safari.

  9. Is there any jailbroken app out there that would let me control my springboard from the pioneer screen? I have sbrotator and I want to be able to open apps right from the pioneer unit. I saw it on this video around 27 seconds, something titled home in his appradio apps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l1woaiMGmQ.

    Anyone know what this is?

It's a feature in the iOS 5 version that wasn't copied to iOS 6. I'll try to put it back in the next update.

I use the springboard.  Just like the video but in landscape.  Works great

    iPhone 4S iOS 6.1.2 Appradio 2 FW 8.17 App 2.3.0 AppEx beta 12

Video is from beta 10  beta 12 works like this as well but with a lot of resizing issues.

Can the springboard be started up in landscape on the appradio mike?  I use activator to rotate it when it gets plugged into the appradio with SBrotator 6.

  10. Works good but sometimes the screen is smaller with the triangles on the side. Makes the the keyboard calibration off for me. Also music widget app used to work now it crashes the phone only when connect to app radio. Anybody know how to put a Siri icon on their home screen.

    4s 6.1.2 app radio 2 fw 8.17 app 2.3.0 beta 12

Beta 10 had no screen resizing issues. I use sbrotator to rotate spring board and apps works well but when springboard launches the phone rotates (activator when plugged in) but on the app radio it's rotated but vertical. I have to launch the music app to rotate the springboard to landscape.

  11. Guys use SBRotator to rotate safari and other apps the app twist around for a bit but switches a lot of app to landscape.  Also I get the iphone home screen rotated like an iPad.  I have to launch messages, or another app the rotates landscape and close it to have the home screen like an ipad but it does work. I launch all apps from this and when I close the apps with the black bars it goes directly back to the home screen
