I plugged my iphone 5 into the app radio 2 with the apple dock connector. It charges the phone, it knows that the app radio is connected and prompts for you to accept the connection.

Pretty much only pandora and the ipod work,

Pandora plays and controls fine from the deck, the artwork displays. Im not sure if there was some background app going on , but every so often the video would go blank, you have to reselect pandora for it to display again, and the controls were lost. You have to disconnect the phone and reconnect to regain the function through the deck.

No video displays with the adapter.

appradio has the newest firmware and app is most current.

because the d3 is the best avic deck out there still, the F series suck, take too long to boot, crapy interface.

the d3 is so solid

Got my 3gs to connect auto now, I just deleted the config and re-added it. Works great now. If I connect it to the iPod cable it works playing music and control, but no charging. I'm getting a scoshe adapter so I can charge this thing.

i can stream to my d3 over bluetooth, works great. works both for the ipod and for pandora over 3g.

are you having any problems with bt not finding the phone? i setup mine but have to keep searching for it each time i get in the car, it is registered to the avic. Streaming pandora has been great!

with the passPort can you listen to internet radio through the iPhone?

does the GEX-P10HD tuner completely replace the deck tuner? i dont see a pass through for the antenna.

im alittle confused why 12v is needed to charge the 3g iphone? a usb adapter works fine and that is only 5v. Where can i find the connector that is on the bottom of the iphone? i plan on making a cable that will charge the phone, allow it to be controlled with the deck and also allow you to listen to the internet radio.

edit: i found the cable i need to do this, will keep you guys updated.

Also to add this is for Backup purposes ONLY. Many people need a backup since this disk is removed daily to play CDs or DVDs. If you do not own this disk then go buy it. I learned the expensive way with my original disks and they got all scratched up.

whats the rush? this disk is not even available yet to the public from pioneer. Patience people.

files on the 80 disk, i only have the west disc, sorry east coasters. ive been so busy havent had time to get this up somewhere. are there any sites that will allow a full iso image upload instead of a torrent? i dont keep my computer on all the time. also my upload sucks.

sorry was gone this weekend, the disks i have are from the n5 unit. i tried them in my d3 and they update and work fine. no visual differences from how the d3 id currently.

i have the new maps in hand going to load them later tonight.

ok go it fixed, it wasnt "ten" digits it had the 1 prefix in front which the avic doesnt like

yes sent them over as a business card, all have 10 digit

when i get a call and have that persons number in my phonebook on my d3 it shows unknown number ??? anyway around this?

my mic doesnt seem to pick up sound much, people cant hear me on the other end. I have it mounted in the factory location in an audi but its mounted horizontal. Any suggestions? i thought about using the factory mic, but not sure how well it would work with the d3

is there anyway to turn up the mic volume? people say i sound like im in a hallway and far away.

i have a few thing i wish the d3 could do, or maybe they do and i just dont know how to do it.

1. Be able to call from the nav screen when you pull up a place that has a phone number listed, is there anyway to do this? i have the bluetooth connected, its a pain to write the number down then go to the phone menu and dial out.

2. get rid of the bt audio menu. i dont have any bt audio device and dont plan on getting one soon, can i turn it off so when i hit the source button it doesnt go to it?

i can get both at a good price right now, but the z2 is still twice as much as the d3. i dont watch dvds in the car, i had a d1 before and that worked well for me. Is there anything justifying the z2 over a d3? i have all my songs on my ipod so i never use cds either. So i guess it comes down to the mapping and interface. Its it that much nicer on the z2?

i wanted to change the startup image file (bgopen) like i did on my 60 disks, i downloaded the disks but cant find the image files.

why not a d3?

if sales are hurting im sure they would have "leaked" a bypass to keep sales moving. Kinda like the ps3 and the wii, look how the modchip boom has taken off. Im sure their bypass is software related, would be the easiest thing for them to do for testing and to not have any lawsuits. also dreamtoyz since you just ratted on your rep im sure he wont let you know now.

man cant believe this hasnt been figured out yet, i wouldnt think they would make the bypass that hard to do. Wonder if a double pulse to ground would work and then hold it low. if the voltage is changing with the pot from when the car is on and when it cranks this might explain why the one person who says it works does. hmmm. wish i had a z2 to play with.
