  1. Hey everyone, I've been having an issue with my AppRadio 3 ever since 8.4, and continue to have it with ios 9 as well.

Whenever I hook up my iPhone with the lightning to hdmi adapter, my phone briefly shows an external connection (blue menu bar at top), but then 3-4 seconds after connecting the AppRadio switches to the "Off" screen. No mirroring ever occurs, and I never get a prompt on my phone to allow external output. I've tried unpairing my phone, deleting from the AR, and re-adding it but to no avail. This is the same adapter and HDMI cable I've used since getting the stereo, and it did work in the past.

Does anyone have any ideas? The adapter works fine in other areas; I'm able to hook up my iphone to a TV and output it. So the adapter is fine. The only other thing i can think of is somehow the HDMI cable is bad? Thanks for the help!

  2. You need to use a usb flash drive in order to update it. The one thing im not sure about is whether or not you can use the USB port on the back, or if you must have the special Pioneer cable in order for it to work. I tried one USB flash drive and it said the file was damaged. Read online that this is a common problem, that the AR is really picky about flash drives. Anyone have an idea?

  3. Hey everyone, I just installed the GM of iOS 7 yesterday and tested it with my AppRadio3, and can confirm that some things are broken on iOS 7. The main AppRadio app doesn't work, it just shows a blank screen on the unit. Waze mirroring does work. It also appears that while Bluetooth streaming does work, it can no longer receive artist info and progress on the unit.

Anyone else have iOS 7 that would like to add their findings?
