  1. HTC P4350 and the BT-200 works at last.

Used Jetware to pair with the smartphone and WM5.0

Used pocketinformant to beam all my contacts at once to the Avic D3.

When i am using my nokia N73 sometimes sound is transfered very late from the phone to the BT module.

If the one being called pick up the phone right away the voices from the caller and the reciever isn't transferd right a way.

  2. The only problem with pocketinformant is that they haven't put a buton "select all"in the program. You have to drag all your contacts and then select "send as IR"

If anyone knows an program whit a buton "select all" please inform me. I cant work easely with pocketinformant because i have more than 300 contacts.
  3. I live in Europe and my Avic D3 supports RDS.

Also no need for a bypass for watching dvd's.

They add an option cable to connect to the handbrake. If the handbrake is on you can watch dvd. When you don't install the cable its always on.

  4. Pioneer issues upgrade discs annually for a fee. being the D3 was just recently released, don't expect an upgrade disc until 2008.

    Ok thanks,

Firmware upgrades for a fee? That new for me.

That should be an aftersales service in mine opinion.

  5. Does Pioneer offers firmware upgrades for other navigation systems? Is the D3 able to get an firmware upgrade?

And do you think an firmware upgrade will be possible in the near future with the D3?

  6. I have selected both day/night as only day in the screen light menu. I have connected the lights on wire.

But it still dims the screen and i dont want to dim the screen because i always drive with lights on during the day.

What can be wrong? Is there a way to ajusted the screen light an other way?

  7. Listen Spa,

It is suposed to be disconected when you transfer your phonebook. After you hit transfer phonebook you phone will be disconected. After that you send your phonebook with bluetooth. You will see that it wil find the PioneerBT2 and then transfer it. Its the same way wehm you would transfer a contact to another mobile. It send al your phonebook in your mobile as VFC to the pioneer.

If your phone can't send your adresbook by bluetooth, just buy another mobile. Every mobile (even my old SE T610) can send the phonebook with bluetooth.

Just try these steps, i am suer you are doing something wrong.

  8. I'm having trouble with phonebook transfer from my blackberry 8703e to the D3.

The phone is registered, automatically connects, answers/calls and is all normal. But as soon as I hit the phonebook transfer button, there is a pause and the bluetooth connection is lost and the phone is no longer connected to the D3.

On the phone, I have allowed phonebook transfer all entries.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Is this a problem with the 8703e?

I am new and maybe i give the wrong answer but:

I think that the the phone has to be disconected to transfer the phonebook. Just disconnect and then select yor contacts in your phone and beam them tot the pioneer D3 unit you find. You be sending it as a card to the D3.

I my case the phone is always disconected when i am transfer my phonebook. Maybe that is your solution?

  9. Well Jetware worked fine. Just installed it and now i can pair my HTC P4350 with the BT 200 module. It reconize my phone in the BT-phone menu.

But now the next problem. I want to transfer my contacts to the D3. But in WM5 there isn't an option to beam all contacts in 1 time. I have to send them seperatly.

Any program to solve this problem???

    Thanks for the answers guys!

  10. Hi Guys,

I have read all discusions but did not got a good answer for my question. I have an smartphone HTC P4350 (this is from the same factory as an Qtek) and an D3 with the BT200 module. This smartphone work with WM5.0.

When i try to pair my phone with the D3 is stays : Invalid phone.

When using it with BT-AUDIO the phone is reconized by the BT module.

I called the Pioneer service centre and they told me that the most smartphone don't work with the Pioneer.

IS this true or is there a way to let my smartphone work with the BT adapter?

    Second question:

If i make an call with my other phone (Nokia N73) there is a problem with the sound. People can't hear me i also don't hear any thing. I only hear a buzzing sound when i select BT-phone. I also don't hear any dailing tones.

    Thanks
