A friend of mine saw the theme I had on my 900 and asked if I could make one for his wifes 700, and he wanted it to look "childish"...so this is what I came up with and I thought I'd share it.

Hey'a boss, I know you wanted a red themed one, but green & yellow and then red didn't work very will IMO...so I made a larger one...

I came across the same Idea when I got my d3 a year or so ago, and I already a Zune and never much cared for the iPod. So I bought the Home A/V kit for the Zune hooked it up to the through the A/V ports in the back and got a USB to 12V adapter and wired to the Units power source so that when my car turns on it will automatically power up my dock which in turn will keep my Zune completely charged. Mine fits nicely in a space under my dash so I didn't need to wire the remote, mine is still wireless and its completely out of the way. Its awesome! I recently upgraded to the F900BT and just unpluged the A/V's and swapped it out and it still works fantastic. Would recommend to anyone!

 

Oh, and to answer the question, NO, the Zune will NOT charge just through the A/V ports.

Well let me explain you a little bit. I had a TomTom 720 and I was able to access the data files via USB; just plug in a USB cable from the TomTom to my computer and a new drive will appear with all the data files inside. So I bought a F500BT and it comes with a USB port as well; so I wrongly assumed that connecting it to my computer thru a USB will be the same… apparently not. I downloaded a software call AVIC FEEDS… but it doesn’t do much.

 

I want to view all the data files and modify them like some of you did. Change fonts; change the red arrow and so on… so… I just bought a 16GB SD card. So, how do I access to the Data Files? I want to make a backup first. Do you copy all the files to the SD card? How? I can’t see them? Please help. Thank you.

 

Aight boss, if you'd searched a lil you would have found this out, but I digress...go here http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17542 and download the file, extract, and store on the root of your SD card (and just FYI, you only need a 2 gb card for this so your 16 gb is severely overkill and Im not even sure its supported). Then put the SD card into your AVIC and turn your vehicle on, it will go to a white scree w/ green box. Hit the X up in the top corner. Go to Start -> Programs -> Windows Explorer. Tap on the My Flash Drive, go to edit hit copy, then click on Storage Card and go to edit hit Paste. It will take 10 minutes or so, but thats it your done.

install 7zip on your pc

look in LPUE080\APL for the file called Image.Res

extract all the files from that so you have a \Image\ folder

and inside will be all the image files and change which ever you please then you need to 7zip the whole folder and rename it to image.res

copy it over to your sd card

get into testmode and copy the new image.res to the flash disk\APL\ folder

 

and reboot it should be done

Oh, and I have a question for anybody, I'm running the emulator to test them like so many others, and I seen many posting screen captures of their work in it...so here's my question, why can't I Print Screen when the emulator is open, but if I minimize it or close it I can again?

I like this one the best, but if you can, can you just remove the chrome outline lettering? I think the contrast between the red and black CF looks awesome and if you can shrink the red Mspeed so it's not cut off, but rather maybe a 1/2" on each side of space before the end of the screen, It'd be perfect. Thanks a lot for all the options you made, I really appreciate it

That Cobra one is awesome. I just hate when the startup text cuts off some of the image. If you could raise the snake logo up that would be great. Thanks and I can't wait to see your other Cobra splash screen creations...

I like the 3rd lincoln picture.... except my Navigator is an 06 body style. Can you replace that black Navigator with a Cream/French Silk Navigator? Thank you for the ones you did. They are great.

How do I set the size so that it takes up all the screen space. When I upload the image it tells me that I haveexceeded max size which is 15MB or something and then when i reduce the size it's too small.

Hey boss, is the unit your putting it on an F series? If it is, the image is properly sized and I really don't know what to tell ya. If its for something else you'd have to resize it.
