yeah you are right , there is one more person who had same problem, i read his comments. i am kinda wondering that what to do. shud i swipe it or send to pioneeer as in swipe there is a risk of getting new unit where flasher might not work

few days back i receieved z1 from 6ave and got installed and i have experienced same exact problem. rear camera works in AV but not on automated. any solutions? what do you suggest? i am also kinda double minded to swipe as in this one circuit works but i dont know the new one i will get will be recently menufactured or what........ kinda confused

it kinda sucks that such a brand new unit and you have to send in for repair. hence unit will be called refurbished.. huh,,, didnt you try talking with 6 ave? for exchange. after how long you installed camera? soon after or after a long time?

i bought few days back z1 from 6ave. i got it installed today but facing an unusual problem. my installer installed eveything fine, flash circuit but at the end what he cant make work is rear view camera on putting the reverse gear. it doesnt turn out automatically when gear is put in reverse mode. he said he tried camera with different unit and it works so he says taht my units rear view camera input is bad . and he had put it in AV mode where i have to press av button severaql time before i can get it to work and the split screen doesnt work. i dont know what other option i have. to go with installer word and go through all hassle of exchanging the unit or is it just install problem becoz he said when he puts it with reverse mode screen shows black or very hazy picture... :cry: please advise what it can be or what should be done. is this possible that rear input is bad???

if ducatiboy circuit is installed than can we also change the navigation location or destination while in motion as some people write that you can select a different location unless you stop the car and pull the handbrake and than select again a different location. any feedback will be highly appreciated,. thanks

thought to share with all you guys. I asked my installer about the susbstitute to ND-BC1 as many people here are complaining about its malfunctioning and price is high too , anyways the installer actually said that KENWOOD CCD-900 is a better camera than nd-bc1 and gives a far sharper picture and is compatible with AVIC Z1 . now the most important thing. i bought it for 125$ shipped which is far less than what you pay for ND-BC1 plus its a kenwood a name in itself what you are buying. i bought it from a established ebay powerseller , its listed for 144 plus shipping but submit best offer for 105+19.99 for shipping and you end up getting for 125.. :) so here is the link below from where i bought. just felt like sharing info as i got to learn a lot from this forum so a small return .will be glad if someone can save some bucks, enjoy

loads of thanks for your reply. did you actually install avic z1 in your wife's car. can you please send a picture of that. my rav4 is also silver . I couldnt figure out that if i take that plastic trim around factory radio out and even take the factory radio out , than how will i place avic z1 in there and even if i do as you said by unscrewing the factory nuts and placing z1 there but than what will fill the gaps around the z1 to give it a neat look. i talked with an installer in tweeter , he said he can make that curved piece for dash for 125$ and asking for 160$ for installation. unit cots for 2049$ if i buy form tweeter and they say that they will give life time warranty on installation or any other problem arises as they are auth. dealers for pioneer. so this is the whole story in short. i am wondering which way should i go .. :cry: thanks for your reply and will appreciate for your next one

Please advice that where is it safe and deal to buy avic z1, many people say 6th ave but in last three days i called them 3 times and every time they had different prices. 1515 first day, i didnt have credit card handy so i called next day, they said its 1699, they increased prices overnight , i thought that i should call again to check and today the guy over there said 2249$. what a sick customer service and idiot people they are without any rules. If we buy from any other website than pioneer manufacturers warranty wont stand valid as they are not auth. delaers. please advice whats the best option and from where it would be a safe buy. thanks all in advance

i have been reading posts in this forum and its wonderful. i have rav4 2006 . please if someone can help me directing that how should i go about thw whole thing. how and where can i get it installed. here in south jersey i asked car toyz , they said they have kit for rav4 but does the kit means the whole thing for the outer frame also? will it give the fine finish to the dash . please if someone an help me out in this matter. thanks
