  1. I've downloaded the firmware update v1.05 for my 8100NEX, but the more I read here I'm sitting on the fence if it's actually worth doing the update. I'd appreciate your input on these questions: AVICSYNC doesn't seem all that interesting to me and after the free trials end it's definitely priced out of my comfort zone. Is AVICSYNC a feature you would actually use and pay for when the trial ends? One poster here mentioned that the unit will be reset after the firmware update, and if I understand that correctly, I'd have to go through all customized settings again. Is this true? Is it also true that I have to re-install the 'free' map update we all got after the initial purchase? I'm on a Mac and this process was a bit cumbersome, to say the least. How does the additional Bluetooth install work? I read through the instructions but it wasn't clear to me if this runs automatically after the firmware update or if I need to initiate it separately. And, very important, can this update be done from an SD card as well? My USB 1 slot has a 30-pin iPod Classic cable directly connected to the head unit. I have no intention to pull the radio just to get AVICSYNC, if that's all this firmware update is providing. Please help me decide if it's worth jumping through all these hoops. Are there any other feature updates worth considering in this new firmware? Thank you.
  2. Car Play Screen Offset

Car Play menu is offset to top left, unable to see all icons, anyone know of a fix?
  3. I just got my AVIC 8100NEX today, and when I first ran Android Auto I used to be able to simultaneously also be connected to bluetooth, and Pandora would show up on the Android Auto list to play. It worked great but after I updated the firmware to 1.03 Pandora or Bluetooth for that matter will not work or even be available at the same time that I am using Android Auto. I used to be able to use Pandora at the same time I had Android Auto running. How can I fix this? -------EDIT------ Ok...my mistake. I just realized I have to press the onscreen "headphone" icon twice to have the Pandora, I Heart Radio, etc to appear.
