  1. I removed a 12-volt socket in my car and replaced it with a slick USB/ 3.5mm jack that looks close to factory. I plugged the iPod cord into the USB jack and completed the install. When I plug a USB stick into the jack, playback and lookup on the head unit work just fine. But when I plug in an iphone 4 using a factory 30-pin to USB cord, I can control everything on the phone like normal, but there is no volume. I tried this with two different iPhone 4 handsets and two different Apple brand cords. Same result. I turned the head unit volume up to 35, I made sure the iPhone volume was around 50%, but got no sound at all. Any ideas?
  2. Any help is appreciated. I've looked through what seems like most of the posts here but can't seem to nail down an issue with the tips I see. I purchased a car with the x920bt already installed. The system works fine as far as navigation (dated map) and voice recognition. There is just no sound. No system sounds like bings or beeps, no sound when playing from a cd, mp3, or radio. I removed the system, checked the connections and fuse, and everything looked ok. The previous owner had a amp and sub previously connected but they are not installed anymore. You can see where he cut the wires to his amp and sub to remove them in the trunk. All other connections are in place. I assume that this is part of the issue but have no clue at this point. I don't plan to install another sub or amp. If someone has had this issue or can give me some tips for things to check I'd appreciate it.
  3. This just happened to me a few minutes ago, I was on my way to work listening to the radio when I just started to hear a little bit of stattic. Nothing bad I thought nothing of it seemed normal for FM radio to lose signal, all of the sudden I looked at my screen and it just dimmed and turned black . The lights at the bottom Volume + - , Mode, Ect. are on but the screen is off. Soon as I got to work I turned off my truck and restarted the deck and all it showed is a grainy multi colored image then a horizontally stripped screen (black/white) few seconds later just boots into black screen, no sound or anything besides the illuminated lights at the bottom . I've had this thing for just over a year probably and bought it brand new. Anyone ever hear of this?
