New Ipod video Question

I bought a new 80 gig ipod classic, the lastest generation(not sure what gen, but it is the latest) Now reading through all the posts here im not sure so i m just asking. i want video, the latest generation does not allow video to pass through the headphone jack. i have had numerous people tell me this and suggest going to an "apple" store to buy the correct cable that connects to the bottem part. i really dont feel like paying another $50 for another wire(i already bought the interface CD-100?? thingy-ma-nob, lol) But reading a post from last year by a "guest" he said you can switch the video and audio inputs with the wire and it works...doesnt make sense, but its too late for me to try anyways due to me returning the original headphone jack wire. SO....my question is simple i guess. what cable to i need to play video from my latest generation video ipod classic to my avic-n3?
