junior
my 02 factory radio did have the feature when the car went faster the volume went up so can it be that white orange cable in the original wiring harness?
MisFit
no, you dont disconnect it. you can test that wire in the radio harness to see if its the same wire
junior
how do i do that
junior
what about the reverse one is it under the steering wheel column
junior
can i hope it is that white and orange cable and just tap into it or is that to dangerous.
MisFit
its actually one of the few wires that arent dangerous because the avic only reads that wire. it doesnt output anything to it. so if its the wrong one it just doest work. no harm done. but your still better off testing it with a voltmeter or a computer safe test light anyway
installermarc
It is possible, but not likely. If it has three plugs (besides the antenna) then it may. It would be a more squarish plug between the power/speaker harness and the subwoofer harness. Â Also, the dash may look like a tight fit top to bottom, but the D3 will fit right in. It looks great in the dash of my 2001 Mustang Bullitt, so I am probably biased.
junior
so the plug that im not using on my factory radio has a white/orange and 2Xblue/red cables that are not hooking up to my avic. is the reverse really necessary if im not using a reverse camera
MisFit
no, not at all
junior
i dont have a meter to test that cable i think im going to take my chances
