Its necessary to do the unlock, whats the benefits, should I do it?! I only wants to upgrade the maps if possible/available and keep the softare running without flaws... PS: My unit its an EU model
inferno999
HD3 is not technically the same as Z2. The version numbers may vary.

Pioneer EU website sucks comparing to the US site! I know there is an CNDV-700HD upgrade disc, but I don't know if its the one I have on my unit! Any help?
inferno999
Well, according to http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/suppo ... grade.html , the only updates for the HD series are the CNDV-700HD disc and a gracenote update. So if you're on an HD3, you ARE up to date (as there are no firmware updates available).

Since I have the HD3 hope is up to date...
costads
Actually there is a firmware update for hd3. I called Pioneer last month, and the guy told me so. But, they are not allowed to put it up for download in Europe, so the idiot wanted me to take out the radio and send it in for the update
