honda4x4nut Posted August 5, 2006 Report Share Posted August 5, 2006 This is my first post on this forum. but have installed many radios in many vehicles before. But for some reason this one is giving me so many problems. I Have tried using the metra mounting kit for the 05 tacoma to hold the D2 and The sleeve does not eben come close to fitting. Now I bought a scosche mounting kit thinking that was just a flawed kit but now the current kit barely doesnt fit the sleeve but will no way fit the mounting flange. Help im not an idiot... I cant figure out for the life of me what im doing wrong!!! Thanks..... PS- I look forward to all the info and help i may need or provide on this forum Quote Link to post Share on other sites
cntrylvr79 Posted August 6, 2006 Report Share Posted August 6, 2006 When you say sleeve, are you talking about the cage? As far as I remember you have to use the factory radio backets on a double din then the plastic dash piece just sorta snaps into place. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
