llzub Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Hey guys, i was installing my Avic-Z1 today connected all the wires and got no sound i have a 1998 nissan maxima with bose and i have a metra 70-7551 kit for it which uses the pre-outs of the deck i did all the colour to colour match ups, but i don't know what to do with the blue/white wire coming out from the RCA preout connector 1and im thinking this may be my problem any ideas? thanks guys Quote Link to post Share on other sites
bridge4d Posted April 16, 2008 Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 If memory serves that blue/white wire is the amp power signal wire. It's what external maps use to power-on. Are you using an external amp or are you using the Z1's internal amp? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
llzub Posted April 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 Well each bose speaker is powered by it's own amp, so it could possibly be that i need to connect that wire to the amp turn on wire on that metra adapter i have, the amps for the bose speakers probably arn't turning on what do you think?
