crewkip Posted June 1, 2008 Report Share Posted June 1, 2008 I have the AVIC-D3 in the car and working. The trouble is I can't get a dash kit to work for the life of me. The Scosche and Metra kits both have a rectangular trim piece that directly surrounds the head unit. On both of these dash kits I cannot get the trim piece around the head unit. It is much too small. Is this a common problem? I looked at it and I would need to do some serious trimming and sanding to get it anywhere near the right size, and frankly I am not sure it is even possible.
