AVIC ALTIMA
Hey guys, I am thinking about getting the AVIC D3, but i really dont like the fact that I cannot play CD music during the navigation system working. The harddrive memory (15GB), can it be used to store songs on so that i can play music while the navigation system is on? If not, are there any other ways to play music while the navigation system is working?? Also, does the music volume automatically decrease when the navigation system vocally announced directions.. Thanks a lot, Dan

madsonp
There's no way to put music on the hard drive. You could get aa cd changer http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... C-D3?tab=C , ipod, or listen to the radio. The voice cancles out the music.
knight20
The D3 doesn't have a hard drive. It has memory where routes and settings can be stored so that you can take the nav disk out, but the map information is stored and read from the nav disk. Also, there are nav volume settings that will allow you to choose to have the voice prompt mute the music when there is a turn, or increase the volume of the voice prompt. There is no setting that will decrease music volume for the voice prompt.
