Ok I am sure alot of you out there have the steering wheel remote and get agravated when it doesn't work sometimes. If you steering wheel is to close as mine is in my Harley D. F150 it works about 50% of the time. I got bored one night and took it apart and found the 2 LED IR's. thought to myself it would be better to have these on the outside. So I took a small pencil grinder and put to small holes, just big enough the LED's would poke out. I then desoldered the LED's and added some 30 guage wire to them. Making sure i kept the polarity right. I made the holes so that when the remore was mounted to my steering wheel the LED's would point directly at my unit. I epoxied them in place and then soldered the wires to the previous point they were mounted. WORKS AWESOME NOW!!!! I am now going to try the N1 mod and when I do I will take my remote back apart to send pictures. I just need to come up with some 60 discs. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
