AVIC-Z1 Dual Zone Question

Recommended Posts

How do you set-up the AVIC-Z1 to do the following:

I want to play music up front (left and right front speakers) while my passengers in the back watch a DVD or TV and listen to it via the rear (left and right rear speakers) and maybe even the subwoofer.

I can have it so that I see the map on the AVIC-Z1 screen and the passengers in the back can get a mirror of that, or watch TV or a DVD. I will hear the audio from their source though. What am I doing wrong?

Yes. One Alpine MRP-F250 for the front and rear, and an Alpine MRP-M450 for the subwoofer. The front and rears are Polk Audio db6500s component speakers. The sub is a JL Audio 12". The AVIC-Z1 has the Pioneer TV tuner along with the XM satellite NavTraffic receiver added to it. The monitors are Alpine TME-710s built into the headrests.
