prepurchase kenwood ddx712 q's

So im moments away from buying my first 2 din unit and am looking at the kenny ddx712. I've been looking and reading through a lot of information for months and this forum has been very helpful. I just would like some reviews from owners before i make my purchase. Also, is this unit capable of custom wallpapers or is this ddx812 only? This buyers guide was somewhat helpful, http://www.al-eds.com/comparison.php?show=&sort=&sort_direction= but want to make sure that i'm not missing out on something else that the 812 would incorporate. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
