Lintveld
Hi there, I'm using the F900BT, which came for good money with my car, and am actually quite happy with it However, there is one question I couldn't find the answer to: I transfered the phonebook from my nokia 2630 to the F900BT. A lot of the contacts in there have more than one phone number (mobile, home, work, etc...) On the Avic though, I can't find a way to choose which specific number to call for this contact. Even worse: the number called when tapping the contact isn't always the 'default' from the phonebook, which has left me in some awkward moments already... Does anyone know how to do this? I found something about editing the phonebook.db file, but that would mean quite some work everytime I re-upload my phonebook, right? I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance, LintVeld
lemonhead
Yes. But how often do you add contacts to your phonebook?
Lintveld
Yes. But how often do you add contacts to your phonebook?Quite often actually, plus I would like to be able to choose on which number to call someone without tripling the total number of contacts. If that's all not possible, I think the very least Pioneer should do is use the default number for a contact, not a random one-out-of-three, right? Lintveld
Lintveld
*Nevermind* Sorry... I must have been looking at the phone contacts with my eyes closed for the past 4 weeks: the different numbers are listed as separate entries, only with the same name... Which isn't too handy in itself either, but my statement from this threat can be disregarded for now Lintveld
Head Unit
Our brilliant hacker-wiz, Stephanie, has come up with a solution for that: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17337 If Pioneer had any sense, they'd offer her a job
Lintveld
I did it differently, since I sync my phonebook quite regularly, I just created separate entries per number in my phone, now it matches the way the F900 works.. Thanks for the input all, Lintveld
