jbell73 Posted September 8, 2006 Report Share Posted September 8, 2006 I know that the factory stereo get's it's speed data from the CAN-BUS, but I've heard that there is another source that can be used as a secondary location for some of the COMAND systems that doesn't use the CAN-BUS connection, I've just not gotten confirmation of where it is. Has anyone installed any AVIC-Z1/D1/D2 in a 2001-2006 C-Class mercedes? If so, do you have the VSS wiure connected? If not, how off is the tracking? The Z1 tracks very well without the VSS wire, so I'm not having any issues yet with tracking. Radio reception on the other hand is horrible!
