proto24
I am curious to know what ipods are compatible wit the video that play throught the screen. I tried the 3rd gen nano and the 1st gen itouch. I had a 5th gen video ipod and it wrked great. Could that be the only one i can use?
kruff10
i think so, i had to get a 5.5 for the video to play on the d3, i think the d 3 is awsome.
jlong1987
Classic iPod (aka iPod Video) will work up until the 5.5 Gen. iPod Nano will not work unless you hook it up through RCA's. iPod Touch / iPhone (2G & 3G) will not work unless you hook it up through RCA's. The iPod shuffle does not work. You can downgrade the software on a 6th or 7th gen iPod video to play it on the D3. There is a few post on the forums how to do that. When you say the itouch works only when connected through RCAs, whats the adaptor you need i can't find one. or could u just use the kin that plugs into the earphone port of the itouch? let me know thanx
jlong1987
It will work for music but for video you will need to buy the adapter from Apple that plugs into the docking port which has RCAs on it. I am not sure about if you can use the headphone jack cable like you can with the video and what not

noooorb
My 5.5 does not work with it unfortunately . Keep getting Error-10 despite the numerous attempts at various ways to fix it. My Nano works perfectly with it though.
