CamelTowing
Agreed. Just the disks
MORENZ
The N5 will support more IPOD audio/video playback than the N4 will
CamelTowing
No it won't, they both support ipods identically
MORENZ
Im just going by what the catalog said. I hooked a 4th GEN nano to my N4and itll play the audio and video from the 3rd generation nano now, which it would work before.
jsdeprey
Could be that the firmware update that is part of the new maps on the N5 (80MT I guess?) has added better IPOD support. I have got both the map disks that came with my N4 and the 80MT disks, I will see, but I am guessing the first time I put the new disks in, the N4 will force a reboot and a fireware update also. Anytime you get a firmware update you are bound to have some fixes to all kinds of things.
CamelTowing
Ipods function identically with both, have sold a number of each
jsdeprey
My older IPOD Classis (No Video) work flawlessly all the time, nver had a issue with it on the N1 or N4. My 5th Gen IPOD Video (I bought used to get 5th gen because I had herd about some issues with gen 6) acts funny sometimes and hangs and will not play untill I reboot it, or screw with it till its happy not sure which. CamelTowing
Sounds like an ipod software issue, not a pioneer issue
jsdeprey
Maybe, I never use it enough while not in the car to know for sure. But never had it do it when not in car yet.
