DinaW
Hi. I'm thinking about buying a Pioneer P6800 and was wondering how hard it would be to fix it so I could have DVD's playing while driving (for my passenger). I am a total newb with this stuff so any info would be appreciated. It is between the Pioneer or the Alpine W200 unless someone can suggest something else in those price ranges (800-1200). Navigation is not important to me, music and movie pretty much. Thanks:)
cntrylvr79
Ground the parking brake wire after the unit boots. Easiest way to do it is going to be with a toggle switch though.
DinaW
Thanks but that's greek to me. I know nothing about wires, etc. I'm your typical girl!!! Where can I get a toggle switch? how hard is it going to be to get someone willing to install? And is the Pioneer 6800 a good pick? Thanks so much, I appreciate all replies :D
cntrylvr79
Toggle switch can be picked up easily from radio shack. As far as installing it goes shouldn't be too difficult to find someone to do it for you. The trick will be finding someone who will bypass the video lock out for you. Over all the 6800 is not a bad unit.
