aramos3
I just aquirred a used avic n4 and its not powering up. I connected both ground cables already and the constant postive and the accesories wire that should have power when the key is in the accesory position. I tested the harness and the accersorie wire does not receive power at all. So then i tapped into the wire again but this time in front of the resistor and now there is power at the plug so im guessing its a bad resistor but my unit is still not powering up. And i forgot to mention that i also have the 30 pin cable plugged in the back of the hideaway and in the back of the head unit. any ideas?[/b]
heavymetals
I suggest if you don't have the manual for it you go here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Stati ... al1008.pdf and recheck all your connections. Also, make sure the removeable faceplate is secure as if that is "loose", the unit may not fire up.
aramos3
Yeah ive had the manual and i followed very closely ive recheked everything twice. The faceplate does seem firm and in the right place. I have come to the conclusion that the unit is fried i plan in just trashing it. I am going to go ahead and purchase a new n5.
