Now the ipod has an issue. it's plugged into the usb cable, it's set on av1 to ipod, it brings it up, recognizes it, brings up the menu played the songs, but no audio output, any thoughts Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The fact that you get ipod control says the USB is fine, the audio is passed analog via RCA. Diane Quote Link to post Share on other sites

YES.. you *DO* need the RCAs to get audio with an ipod, if the RCAs aren't connected, or have become disconnected, you will be able to control the ipod, but you will not get any sound.
