rford426
Hey i have the f900 in my stang with a back up camera...My camera works when i go in reverse but not while im driving by going to the rearview button in the a/v source menu...anyone know why it would work while in reverse but now while im driving? i hooked the purple wire to the + on the reverse light
One Bad Stang
because the camera gets a power signal from the reverse lamp + connection, and when your backup lights are not on, it gets no power signal.
rford426
what do i need to hook it up to then? or how do i fix this ?
One Bad Stang
well, i guess if you wanted to have it on or available all the time, you could find a switched 12 volt power source (key on 12 volt signal) and tap the reverse signal wire into that wire. i dont know if that would work but it sounds like it should.
