stx2006
I put my D3 in my new 08 FX4 and it has the factory amp and sub so I bought the harness from crutchfeild so the D3 can run the amp and sub but now when I turn the truck on a loud pop comes from the sub... What is this?!?! It scares the crap out of me late at night when I'm half asleep. haha
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Put a 1K Ohm resistor on the amp turn on wire. Should fix the problem.

stx2006
What's the best way to wire this is? Like what should I use that'll hold it really good?
stx2006
Well that didnt do any good. It's still poping just like it did before.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Well that didnt do any good. It's still poping just like it did before. Really....that's odd. IIRC the pop is caused by a jump from the radio and Ive seen this mostly in Ford's, where a 1K Ohm resistor lowers the current sent to the subwoofer hence fixing the pop. But I'm surprised that 1K didn't do it, try a 1.5K or a 2K, and see if it just needed a higher resistance.
