Help...Voice operation stopped working

I have the Z2, bypassed and with Toomey's HD/software updates (works great by the way).

 

Unit has worked perfectly until now when the voice operation function stopped.

 

The voice icon appears in the upper right hand corner of the screen. When I press it I get the "Please request voice command" message at the bottom of the screen as well as through the speaker.

 

But when I give it a command it does nothing, as if the microphone is broken or disconnected.

 

After a few seconds I get the voice command, "Please press voice command key to continue".

 

I press the voice command key and give it a command and again nothing happens.

 

Any suggestions other than check the microphone. I'm hoping one of you has a simple suggestions so that I don't have to tear the HU and microphone out.
