Searching by street name

Hi,

 

I have an F900BT (Australian Version) and would like to know if there is a way to search by street name? Currently I have to enter a suburb and then type in the street name. The problem is that sometimes I don't know the suburb but I do know the street name but the system won't let me enter a street name until the suburb has been entered.

 

I used to beable to do this with my old Navman PDA and I find it really limiting on the F900BT. I need to reference a map to find out where I want to go when the unit has a full list of every street in Queensland.

 

FYI, yes I have searched for this using the search function and haven't found anything helpful. Any ideas?

I've noticed that if I put the major city the suburb is located in for the city, and start to enter the street name, the F-Series will actually offer streets in other suburbs.

 

Not sure if other units around the world work the same as those in the US, but that works for me.

My F900bts destination screen is like this.

 

Australia (the country)

Queensland (the state)

Suburb (which has to be entered first)

Street (which I can't select unless a suburb is entered)
