justindenton
I installed the F90bt.. and I hooked up the HD Radio module. I can access the HD Radio, I and tune channels, I can even get call signals back of the radio stations. But I can't hear any audio. Any ideas what I'm missing? Everything else works perfectly. Thanks, Justin
CamelTowing
Did you get an antenna splitter so your car's antenna goes to both the radio and the HD tuner?
1fastrsx
Did you get an antenna splitter so your car's antenna goes to both the radio and the HD tuner? That's what I had to do if you want to keep the MSN, if not slap the antenna into the hd unit and forget about the regular fm
justindenton
No I don't have the antenna splitter. I have the antenna ran directly into the HD Unit. figuring that would carry the audio signal over the BUS cable. Do I need the antenna in both? does the HD Radio module not carry analog signal as well?
schristian
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on this board that the symptoms you're describing are due to the IP-BUS cable being in the wrong port on the HD Radio Module. Control without Audio... You will also want to get that antenna splitter so you're MSN Direct will work. I can never get AM on my HD module either, so I use the AM tuner on the F900 for AM. I got my Antenna Splitter from Crutchfield for $5-ish. It's a Metra part. Good luck with the HD Radio, I received a replacement today because mine would go into this mode where there was 100% static on every channel: Analog & Digital. I'm hoping that's not a "feature".
